小小修正一下前面版友的看法，

屬於固定搭配，如果之前沒看過這種用法或者沒背過字典可能就不太好用這個點解。
我個人會用GMAT偏好/不偏好的句子結構下去解。（後面會解釋）

個人認為，while並不是判題點
判題點在於介係詞＋N＋Ving的形式通常屬於句意斷裂的結構
詳細解釋請參見第8983篇我的文章。
因此ACE都是錯在句意斷裂的非偏好表達形式prep+N+Ving。

: E 錯在and 之後不對等
: 因為of 接名詞 之後and 也要接 of 名詞

: B 就奇怪了 明明說 Edith Abbott was convinced
: 確信 之後卻出現 should be 應該要
: 到底是確定還是不確定呢?
經過第一階段刪去ACE後，比較BD。
B的兩件事只用and連結，關係鬆散
變得「大學應該...」「學生應該...」
但是因為後句與前句缺乏緊密連結，所以學生可以是國中生、高中生、幼稚園小班...
這樣整句話的句意就變得不夠緊密了。
D選項用關係代名詞where說後句的情境在於大學之中，將兩句作較緊密的連結
也就限定了後句的學生是大學學生，讓句意變得更合常理。
在GMAT裡and是最廣義的連接詞，卻也是最模糊的，意義最不確定的連接詞。

: 和一般認為social workers要在職場訓練不同
: 這個人認為要在學校中訓練

: being的出現 讓句子不正確 應該要刪掉
為什麼being的出現讓句子不正確？不太了解...
