: explaining/working/revealing/promoting 都是working verb(表動作)
應該是三個表動作動名詞：
1. explaining (the value and workings) , 注意這裡workings 是和the value平衡
2. revealing the mysteries
3. promoting respect
: 請問'present' cultures 是Action Noun? 這樣可以和這些working verb平衡嗎?
這裡平衡關係應該是：
the mysteries of (past and present) cultures, past and present都是形容詞修飾
名詞cultures
: PS: 目前還不是很清出Gerund中的'表狀態'動名詞的意思, 感覺很虛無飄渺!!

表狀態動名詞通常都是the Ving prep的形式, 像答案中的workings of archaeology
就是屬於表狀態動名詞
