在不清楚句意的前提下...看到if條件子句

1.主要子句中用would/should/could無論表與現在/過去/未來事實相反 ,
  條件子句中動詞需用過去式,刪除(A)(B)
2.density是集合名詞? 動詞用單數,刪除(E).
  (E)中, will表未來但是條件子句中用動詞were(incorrect tense)

Question:
1. 請問(C)錯的點在哪裡? 該如何下手解題?
2. why greater is better than numerous??
