我稍微查了一下韋氏字典，
Function: verb
Inflected Form(s): draped; draping
Etymology: probably back-formation from drapery
transitive verb
1 : to cover or adorn with or as if with folds of cloth
* 2 : to cause to hang or stretch out loosely or carelessly
3 : to arrange in flowing lines or folds
intransitive verb : to become arranged in folds

韋氏的解釋，我想第二點就是你所需要的囉。
另外我的英漢字典裡也有提到，
drape + (over,around, round, against)：使（手臂、腿等）垂、搭。
