今天yahoo提到了TIME今年評選的百大影響人物中包含了證嚴法師
TIME的編輯用she has an ethereal quality來形容她
先不論慈濟到底如何，我們就秉持著看時事學單字的心情看待這件事吧XD"
ethereal adj.

b : celestial, heavenly
c : unworldly, spiritual
在這則新聞中，ethereal的用法明顯是屬於w-m的第一個意思
yahoo翻成超凡入聖我覺得翻的還滿不錯的
但別忘了ethereal還有別的意思
下面兩個意思我覺得可以從乙太(ether)來記憶:)

跟乙太相關的，以太的狀態，就是很難被知覺(intangible)到的吧？
在愛因斯坦的相對論出現以前，科學家預設光的傳導也要有介質(medium)
而這個介質就是所謂的乙太(ether)
不過科學家按照這樣的預設所做出的結果卻跟理論的預測相差甚多
直到新的科學理論出現，科學界才將以太說放棄
相關的衍生字大家可以參考著用
尤其寫作時ethereality這種名詞型也很常用到
