1. A volume charge distribution is given in spherical coordinates by

   ρ=ρ_0[(r/a)]^2  for r < a
   ρ=0              for r > a

(a).what is the energy stored in the electric field of the charge distribution?

(b).If the charge distribution is uniformly rearranged onto a thin shell with
    radius r=a, what is the amount of energy released?


2. A sphere of radius R carries a charge density ρ(r)=kr (where k is a const.)

   Find the energy of the configuration.

   Check your answer by calculating it in at least two different ways.
