Consider a 6000rpm disk, which is of one single head, 11tracks, and
110sectors in total. Let the seek time is linearly proportional to
the number of track traveled, and to move the head across one track
takes 1ms. Suppose that the current head position is at track 0,
sector 0. It takes ____ ms to seek to track 10, sector 5. (note that tracks
and sectors are numbered from 0)
手邊的解答:
disk有6000rpm
=> 轉一圈需0.01sec
又一track 有10 sectors
所以轉動一圈需0.001sec
故disk head由track 0移動到track 10需10*0.01sec=100ms
disk head由sector 0 移動到sector 5 需5*0.001sec=5ms
所以需100+5=105ms
問題: 請問一下它為什麼不需要加translate time(1/2*60*1/6000) ??
