題目:
Messages arrive at a service center at a rate of one message per second with
the interarrival time being an exponential r,v.
Let X be the time for the arrival of five messages.Find the prob that 6<X<=8.
參考書上解法有2種..
第一種怪怪的
(λt)^x * e^(-λt)
因為Pr(X=x)= --------------------
x!
x^5
Fx(x)= P(X<=x)= P[在x時間 有5個訊息] = e^(-x) * -----
5!
P(6<X<=8) = Fx(8) -Fx(6) 用991得負值欸
是解法有誤 還是??
另外一種方法是比較沒問題的Gamma 分佈(也是一般人想的方法 但沒計算機很難積分 = =)
X~Gamma(5,1) 然後再求P(6<X<=8)
請高手幫解答
