Agent says forward Powe interested in Memphis
MEPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — The agent for a recently released forward says his
client is interested in joining the Memphis Grizzlies.
Aaron Goodwin, the agent for Leon Powe, told the Memphis Commercial Appeal
the Grizzlies are one of the teams his client would seriously consider.
Cleveland reached a buyout agreement with Powe and he'll clear waivers
Tuesday. Powe was a member of the Celtics' 2008 championship team. He has
played in just 14 games this season but says his surgically repaired knees
are no longer troubling him.
Powe earned $915,852 with Cleveland. He would only cost Memphis a prorated
minimum salary.
