明星賽投手郭泓志第九局上場無失分，ERA掉到1.20，
超越了Eric Gagne，成為隊史上單季投球50局以上、ERA最低的投手。

郭：「感覺很棒。有機會固定上場投球我就很高興了。」

最後一個出局數（是由後援投手郭泓志解決的，詳後述）之後，
Torre獲贈一幅他身穿道奇制服的巨幅畫像，
出自運動畫家Opie Otterstad之筆，
之前勇士隊教頭Bobby Cox退休時也獲贈過類似的畫。

球賽最後，Torre特地叫郭泓志上場，
（當時的狀況也剛好需要他上場，不過Torre早就決定不管怎樣都要讓他上場）
讓他得以創下單季最低ERA（50局以上投球）的隊史紀錄。
郭泓志一開始保送一人，但接著就連續解決三名響尾蛇隊打者，解決危機，
獲得第12次SV，ERA收在1.200，
剛好以些微差距超過2003年Gagne留下的1.202紀錄，
當年Gagne在55次救援機會中全部成功，拿下了國聯的賽揚獎。

順便為即將退休的捕手Brad Ausmus送別、
讓closer郭泓志創下ERA紀錄、
先發投手Ted Lilly拿下二位數勝投、
Matt Kemp連續五場全壘打、
游擊手Rafael Furcal達到三成打擊率。

新人救援投手Kenley Jansen第八局無失分，將ERA降到0.67之後（本季投球27局），
郭泓志第九局也不掉分，拿下第12次SV，
同時超越他的「偶像」Gagne創下的ERA隊史紀錄，ERA來到1.20，
也是本季全大聯盟投滿50局的投手當中最低的。

破了Gagne的紀錄之後，郭泓志表示：「他還是我的偶像。」
