However, one thing I have to say is that "economic without politics" is not
gonna happen either.
In fact, the obstacle between Taiwan and China is politics, so how can we
solve it without politics? To negotiate the direct flights, we need politics;
to determined the name of both sides in the contract or treaty, we need
politics; and just to have "relations", we need politics.
Yes, politics is not everything, but it is the thing that exists in our
everyday life as money does. In the past 8 years, our leader is totally on the
side of politics and that's what makes people in Taiwan feel anxious, angry,
and even hopeless for our current situation. If that is the result, what we
are going to do in the future is not totally abandon politics, jumping to the
other side of economics, but is to find a right balance and stand in between.
Otherwise, no matter who is going to be our next president, we will still find
ourselves having the same feelings like what we have today in the future.
