Today's match I want to dedicate to one of the biggest sports heroes our
country ever had, Pavol Demitra, to whom all our nation had to unfortunately
say goodbye to today :( It was a very sad day for Slovakia, having lost such an
incredible man who has done so much for our country, on and off the ice, and
will remain in our hearts as a huge idol and inspiration for all of us forever.
It was only a second round win, but it had a different feeling to me since I
was fighting for him as well. Rest in peace Pali... we will miss you very much.
I'm sure our nation will do all we can together so you can be proud of us up
there.
As for the match... Melinda played very well in the first set, and I had to
dig deep and fight hard to win. Dealing with my foot injury was not easy, but
like I said, today it had a different meaning so I kept fighting as much as I
could.
It's very late now but I will write more tomorrow. Goodnight :)
