[問題] 想問一下peripheral treatment是什麼?

看到一篇paper,
內容是有關於用一種heparin類的藥來做peripheral treatment的實驗
不過,很納悶到底peripheral treatment是啥種治療方式?
再者,如果要翻成中文的話有合適的翻法嗎?
