DUBAI 2006: The Draw

The draw for the Dubai Duty Free Women's Open was made this evening. The
glitterati tennis cast includes all four previous winners. Justine is the
only returning trophy holder to have won the event twice, in 2003, and 2004.
She has a bye, and will play her opening round against Kveta Peschke (WTA
#34) or a qualifier on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Justine's first match in her return to Dubai will be against the Czech
Republic's Kveta Peschke. It will their 4th meeting with Justine winning all
three previous encounters.
The Belgian's section of the draw features possible rematches with Italian
Francesca Schiavone in the quarterfinals, and Amelie Mauresmo or Svetlana
Kuznetsova in the semi-final.
The other half of the draw is composed of not only last year's winner Lindsay
Davenport, but Maria Sharapova, Martina Hingis, Anastasia Myskina, and Nadia
Petrova.
