Ferrari the new love in Hewitt's life

LLEYTON Hewitt purchased a $420,000 Ferrari last week, in the wake of
his split from fiancee Kim Clijsters.

Hewitt's black 360 Spider is the only one of its kind in Australia
and is one of the fastest cars in the world, with a top speed of almost
300km/h.

The former Wimbledon champion, who has career earnings of more than
$18 million, is taking a break at home in Adelaide over Christmas and
the New Year holidays.

He has been spotted across the city with his good friend, Adelaide
Crows midfielder Andrew McLeod.

The pair has been seen around town, at the basketball and the Adelaide Test.

Hewitt bought the Ferrari from a Melbourne dealership, following in the
footsteps of fellow Davis Cup star Mark Philippoussis, who owned a $600,000
Lamborghini Roadster.

Hewitt took delivery of it on Thursday.

The Spider was ordered from Ferrari headquarters in Maranello, Italy, shipped
to Melbourne, then trucked to Adelaide, while a salesman flew in to deliver
the car.
