Hewitt pulls out of Paris Masters
Australian Lleyton Hewitt has pulled out of the Paris Masters
Series tournament starting on Monday, organisers said overnight.
Hewitt had been a doubtful starter for the tournament as he has
not played for a month because of a toe injury.
The field in Paris has already been decimated by the withdrawals
of world number one Roger Federer; the world number two Rafael Nadal;
defending champion and Australian Open winner Marat Safin; American
veteran Andre Agassi; and former French Open winner Carlos Moya.
The withdrawals mean Amercia's Andy Roddick will be the only top-six
player taking part.
