Thanks in part to the Charlotte Bobcats' 4-0 week, Jason Richardson was named
Eastern Conference player of the week. He averaged 28.5 points, 3.0 assists,
6.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals in victories over the Minnesota Timberwolves,
Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards.

With Gerald Wallace out with a concussion, Richardson took on added scoring
responsibilities. Richardson had 30 or more points in four of the eight games
Wallace has missed, following a concussion Feb. 22 versus
