[情報] Any takers for Morrison?

Could Adam Morrison serve as trade bait for the Charlotte Bobcats this week?

I essentially got that question from a reader Sunday, in response to a rumor
in the St. Paul Pioneer-Press. That rumor (and it wasn’t written by that
newspaper’s NBA writer) suggested the Bobcats and the Minnesota Timberwolves
might be discussing a deal that could include Morrison.

Do I think the Bobcats would offer Morrison to get something else done? Of
course.

Do I think another team would give up something of consequence to acquire
Morrison? Not unless that team has what my financial planner would call a
long investment horizon.

I’m not knocking Morrison. I am saying his injured knee makes him such a
question mark right now that his trade value is dubious.

I ran this past a player-personnel guy who was high on Morrison coming out of
college. He said Morrison still has trade value, but only once he
demonstrates his knee is healed, after missing all last season.

It’s unlikely Morrison will play in summer-league games in Las Vegas, so
proving he’s healthy is months away.
