Now that Paul Silas is in place as the interim head coach of the Bobcats,
reports of his staff are beginning to trickle out.
According to sources speaking to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, former
Knick and celebrity chef Charles Oakley has officially joined the staff.
Wojnarowski added in a follow-up tweet that sources have indicated the staff
will also include Stephen Silas, Paul's son and a current assistant with
Golden State, as well as Ralph Lewis.
"Oakley had been telling league friends that P.J. Brown and Muggsy Bogues
were joining staff too, but it doesn't appear to be the case," he added.
Sam Amik of FanHouse is also reporting via league sources that Stephan Silas
will join the staff along with Oakley and Lewis.
Amik also tweeted that Brown and Bogues are "in discussions but not certain,"
so it appears they could still hook on in Charlotte as well.
Since Silas is on an interim basis with the team, it's possible he, as well
as all his assistants, could be replaced by the beginning of next season.
