Berbatov not for sale, says Jol

Tottenham boss Martin Jol has insisted that the club will not sell striker
Dimitar Berbatov this summer. 

The 26-year-old has scored 21 goals in his first season in English football to
become the subject of transfer rumours.

However, Jol said: "I have no fears - from anybody or any circumstances. The
chairman would not sanction it, even if I would like to. 

"I don't see any reason why we should. We made a lot of profit over the last
six months and we don't have to sell."

Tottenham sold Michael Carrick to Manchester United for 18.6m last summer but
Jol added: "We have kept our best players 99% of the time over the last five
or six years."

Spurs paid German side Bayer Leverkusen 10.9m for Berbatov, who has been linked
with United and Chelsea among others, and Jol believes the forward will become
more prolific the longer he stays at the club.

"There is still a lot to improve with the team and with Dimitar, he can score
30 or 35 goals in all competitions," stated Jol, who has been impressed with
Berbatov's adjustment to the Premiership.

"There is a lot more to come because he is such a good finisher.

"He noticed in the first couple of months that it was different, so I told
him 'welcome to the Premiership'. 

"He did so much work in training and in the gym. You can never say you are 100%
convinced when you sign a player from abroad, it's a tough league.

"But talent-wise, everyone in Germany, including Bayern Munich, knew it and
would love him."

BB可貴的就是他不只能進球 還做球能助攻

比起一個賽季有大量進球 我比較希望他能有不錯的進球數字以及助攻量

剛剛又看了對boro的高光 我們的防空以及盯防有蠻大的問題 常常會失神盯丟人
