Our 2007/08 Young Player of the Season was contemplating a loan spell at
League One Millwall this time last year - but now he has played over 20 games
for Spurs and has England Under-21 honours to his name.
熱刺2007/08賽季的年度青年球員Jamie O'Hara在去年的這個時候還在考慮一份到米爾威
（Millwall）的合約，但現在他已經是個為熱刺踢過20場比賽、並且可以入選英格蘭U-21
國家隊的球員了。
In this exclusive interview, Jamie says: "Last season was fantastic for me.
In the space of just six months, I featured in a lot of games and tried to
grab my chance. But it didn't really sink in until after the end of the
season.
在熱刺官雜的獨家訪問中，Jamie表示：「上個賽季對我來說太棒了。在六個月的時間裡
，我踢了很多比賽並且試圖抓住自己的機會。但一直到球季結束後，我才有精神理解到這
些事實。」
"I flew to Dubai for a holiday and then went for a week of golf with my dad
in Portugal. It was only then that I had a chance to look back, and it sank
in just how well things had gone.

"When you look at the leading Premiership clubs, there aren't that many young
English players coming through the ranks into the first team. But when Juande
Ramos came to Spurs, he obviously saw something in me that he liked and it
wasn't very long before I got my chance."
「看看那些在英超帶頭跑的球隊們，他們陣中並沒有太多年輕的英格蘭球員有升上一隊的
機會。但當Juande Ramos來到熱刺隊，他從我身上看出了什麼他喜歡的特質，過不了多久

Jamie's big moment came in our 1-0 Barclays Premier League win over
Portsmouth at Fratton Park last December, when he came off the bench to make
his long-awaited Spurs debut.
對Jamie意義重大的一刻在去年十二月，熱刺聯賽1-0客場戰勝朴資茅斯的比賽中到來了，
他從板凳區替補上場，贏來他等待以久的熱刺一隊處子秀。
He recalls: "Before I went on, the manager put his arm around me and told me
to show them all what I could do, and that gave me the confidence to get
involved immediately.
他回憶：「在我上場前，教練抱了我一下，告訴我『讓他們看看你的能耐』，那立刻讓我
有了上場的自信。」
"I remember my first touch. The ball came to me and I hit a 60-yard pass over
Sol Campbell's head, straight to Jermain Defoe. I thought: ‘this is
alright'. My confidence grew from there.
「我記得我的第一次觸球。球跑到我腳下，我把他踢了60碼遠，越過Sol Campbell的頭頂
，直塞到Defoe面前，我想『這就對了。』於是我又增加了點信心。」
"For our goal, I nicked the ball in our half and started driving forward. I
went past a couple of players and slipped Aaron Lennon in, he chipped the
ball to the far post and Berba scored. It was an unbelievable feeling."
「關於我們的進球，我在我們的半場截到球然後開始推進，我過了一些球員之後把球分給
Aaron Lennon，他把那球點到遠柱，然後Berba（Dimitar Berbatov）射門得分。」

可見的預告也提到一些Jamie不為人知的秘密，包括他怎麼幫忙他爸家裏麵包店的事務，
他說他非常常幫家裏的忙。
「我烤麵包、也做三明治！」這是Jamie說的。
熱刺現在努力在捧Jamie O'Hara跟這一批差不多年齡的球員，裡面我最喜歡O'Hara，不只
是他在左中場表現的才華，還有他有時候口無遮攔的可愛。
要不是弄不到雜誌，真希望能夠看到更多內容。
