不好意思回個剛好看到的舊文，(我最近一直PO文大家會不會覺得我好煩哈哈)

不知道大家有沒有發現其實近年Jason好像已經很少在唱Wordplay了？

這首分明好歹也是主打為什麼這麼不常唱，是因為太難唱嗎？

不過以前就算唱到超級快會斷氣的bridge他還是會硬唱或是偷懶放慢啊！

扯太遠。

好啦其實這個問題在我上一篇文提到的那篇《歌迷問答第五彈》有稍稍提到！

Do you not like to sing some songs because who they are about or
what was happening in your life when you wrote them?

歌迷：你會因為一些私人因素就選擇（在現場）不去唱一些你寫過的歌嗎？

Song selection is the most difficult part of my afternoon when it
comes to putting a show together. I start with a batch of songs
that mean something to me in the present moment. Then I consider
big melodies that I know people are going to want to sing along to.
But I can never assume I’m going to know exactly what the
collective audience is hoping for. It’s hit and miss.

JM：排歌單一直都是件很難的事。我會先選定一些在當下對我具有某些意義

　　的歌，然後再選一些我知道觀眾會一起唱的歌；但我從不假設我可以完

　　全知道觀眾想要我唱哪些歌，沒有辦法完全料中。

When I retire a song it is usually because I just grow out of it.
I no longer feel like the “look at me” characters in “I’ll do
anything” or “Wordplay.” Nor do I remember what I was feeling
when I adapted "On Love, In Sadness" from Jenny Keene's beautiful
poem of the same name. I seldom retire a song because of who.
If anything, it’s the people who inspire a song that keep
that song alive for me.

　　當我不唱一首歌的時候，通常是因為我已經從那樣的狀態中有所成長、

　　跳脫了。我已經不覺得自己像是《I'll do anything》或《Wordplay》

　　裡面那個期許引起別人注意的那種角色，而我也忘了自己當初為什麼會

　　想到要用 Jenny Keene 某首詩名來命名《On Love, In Sadness》。

　　我幾乎沒有因為誰就不去唱什麼歌，真要說的話大概就是當我覺得那首

　　歌有人可以詮釋得比我更好的時候吧。
