" This was shot during soundcheck ", Cyr recalls. "I was up on a ladder."
As she studied Jeff Buckley from behind a camera lens ofr the first time,
New York-based Merri Cyr realised that her subject was more than just a
handsome new kid on the musical block.
Ironically,however,the thing she remembers most from their first shoot in
late 1991 isn't Buckley's brooding good looks but a "weird gesture".
"I was sitting there concentrating on the next shot when he leaned forward
very slowly and gingerly removed a dust bunny from my sweater," says Cry.
"It was very intimate, considering I didn't even know him."
