Singapore Tatler gives a hand to Community Chest
TO help the Community Chest's four-month fund-raising
campaign, society magazine Singapore Tatler has organised
a charity performance of the Forbidden City: Portrait of
an Empress on Sept 21.

Proceeds from the sale of the 1,700 tickets will go to
323,000 beneficiaries supported by the Community Chest.

This year, the Community Chest hopes to raise $42 million
through its Give A Hand! charity drive.

At the launch on Tuesday, Kit Chan (picture), the cast of
Forbidden City, Singapore Tatler managing director Andrew
Thomas and Community Chest vice-chairman Edmund Tie put
their handprints on two Forbidden City banners.

One will be auctioned and the other will be given to
Singapore Tatler.

The public can make donations or buy $2 handprints at
Give A Hand! roadshows at shopping malls islandwide.
