Rose: Out vs. Magic; injured groin 'tight still'

ORLANDO -- Speaking for the first time in a week, Chicago Bulls star Derrick
Rose said he hasn't been able to run on his strained groin and doesn't know
when he will return to action.

They say with an injury like this they don’t know how long it’s going to
take," Rose said before Monday's morning shootaround at Amway Center. "I
thought I was going to be back sooner. I’m missing big games that I hate to
miss, like the one tonight."

Of course, coach Tom Thibodeau called Rose day-to-day, but that's just
Thibodeau being coy. Rose didn't participate in the morning shootaround and
said he isn't doing any basketball-related activity except limited shooting.

I haven’t been able to run," Rose said. "I haven’t run in a couple days,
just making sure that my leg is OK and making sure that the pain goes away

"After the game, I remember walking back into the locker room and I told the
trainers immediately that I wasn’t feeling right, that my leg was really
messed up. They looked at it and saw what it was and I had to get treatement."



Rose said he has never before had a groin injury and remains frustrated he
keeps missing games. Monday will mark the 14th game Rose will miss this
season. He missed six games total in his first three seasons.

"It’s definitely been frustrating," Rose said. "This is the most I’ve ever
been injured in my life. The biggest thing is just staying strong mentally. We

Rose said he agreed with the conservative approach to the injury.

"Oh yeah, for sure," he said. "You don’t want this to linger where I can’t
move. Every day it’s definitely getting better but I haven’t been able to
run in a couple of days."

Given that Thibodeau wouldn't officially rule him out for Monday, he also
wouldn't guess when Rose might return.

"It could be a few days. It could be who knows?" Thibodeau said. "We just
want him to make progress. When he’s healthy, he’s healthy. We’re not
going to rush him back. We want him to be completely healthy. We think that’
s important."

Rose also for the first time addressed the $25,000 fine he received for
critical comments about the officiating following that Knicks game.

"I thought they were facts," Rose said. "Losing 25K definitely hurts. I don’
t care who you are. I was just frustrated at the time. I couldn’t hold
myself back from saying what I said.

"It’s not going to stop the way I play, where I continue to attack, play
hard and hopefully I’ll get the calls."

而且又硬撐完全場才是主因
