Kings notes: Artest is a late scratch - again

The mystery grew because there were few answers to be had.

因為我們只能找到很少的線索，所以這個謎越來越神秘。

Ron Artest had a sore foot. Again. Artest informed his team late in the day
that he would not play in the game. Again. There was even a new wrinkle to
his absence, the fact that he participated in the Friday morning shootaround
before sending word through trainer Pete Youngman about 90 minutes before
tipoff that he would not be available to help take on Minnesota.

It's a different approach than Artest was taking less than a week ago, when
his tone and message would have led one to believe he would play through any
sort of pain to stay on the floor. Refusing to give up on a playoff push
despite the incredibly long odds, Artest said he had some backers in the
locker room for the mission and was gaining more by the day. He took great
exception to Theus questioning the team's desire during a heated postgame
argument Feb. 26 in Miami.

Now, though, the vagueness of his condition and the overwhelming skepticism
within the organization might indicate Artest is taking the approach he chose
in early February. At that time, he said he thought the team was "better off
without me," mainly because his absence would open up playing time for the
likes of John Salmons, Francisco García, and even Quincy Douby.

雖然現在一切的狀況都很模糊不明，但二月上旬Artest說過的話可能將會是他的決定。在

Timberwolves coach Randy Wittman, surprisingly, said he didn't see it as an
advantage to face the Kings without Artest.

"(Artest) likes to post, play the power game a little bit more," Wittman
said. "Salmons and García are off the dribble (players), and it's a much

Youth movement continues - There wasn't a breakout game among the young ones,
but there were lots of minutes.

雖然沒有年輕小子在這場比賽有突破的表現，但他們得到了更多上場時間。

Rookie center Spencer Hawes played 25 in all, second-year forward Shelden
Williams 16 and second-year guard Quincy Douby 10. Hawes and Williams hit a
combined 3 of 12 from the floor. Accusations of lack of effort from Theus
afterward did not appear aimed toward his younger core. The interior defense
of veterans Brad Miller and Mikki Moore, meanwhile, came into question.

新秀中鋒上了25分鐘，Williams有16分鐘，Douby 也分到了10分鐘。Hawes 和Williams在
這場比賽總計投12中3 。雖然重用小將這件事並沒有錯，但另一個問題－由雙老將Miller

"When you look at the minutes that they played tonight," Theus said of the
younger players, "I think it was a good day for them just in terms of
experience."

利？爭冠實力？冠軍？），硬要留下他也只能看他不停的不滿，但能不能再由阿泰身上撈
