Kings notes: May just wants minutes
阿梅：只要打四十八分鐘就好啦！
The King that started the final two exhibition games at center really isn't
all that concerned about starting.
究竟...先發的會是阿梅還是某人？
After playing in just 82 of a possible 246 games in three seasons, Sean May
just wants to play. So as coach Paul Westphal remained mum Sunday as to what
the starting lineup for Wednesday's season opener in Oklahoma City would be,
May wasn't overly concerned about starting.
前三季裡，阿梅只打了三分之一的比賽。所以當Westphal在盤算開季先發時，阿梅根本沒
有想太多。
He's just happy to be healthy after being dogged by knee injuries for four
seasons in Charlotte.
能打球就好了。
"Whether I come off the bench or start, it doesn't really affect me either
way," May said. "For me it's the minutes, knowing that you're going to play
every night and that you're in the rotation. If he sees fit for me to start,
I'll gladly take on that role."
「先發還是板凳都沒差，知道自已能夠上場，能夠在輪替陣容裡就夠了。如果教頭覺得我
先發比較合適，我也願意接受這個任務。」最後還是說漏嘴的阿梅說。
May has earned time in the starting lineup because he's played well lately,
and Westphal has decided to mix up the rotation and bring center Spencer
Hawes off the bench. But calling the 6-foot-9 May the center isn't exactly
accurate when the power forward is 6-11 Jason Thompson.
阿梅近況不錯，所以某人就被丟到板凳上。但是六呎九的阿梅當中鋒其實是個假象。
"When he plays with J.T., he's more the center than Sean," Westphal said.
「當六呎十一的JT也在場上，阿梅就沒有那麼中鋒了。」教頭說。
It didn't look as if May was a candidate to play a lot a week ago thanks in
part to another health-related setback. The flu threatened to negate the
solid start May had to training camp.
在幾週以前，進入訓練營的阿梅因為感冒，讓他有點身體不適。
Westphal said the illness probably stalled May's progress by a week or so.
教頭說這場病讓阿梅落後差不多一週以上的進度。
"He's back now and looking just like he did earlier," Westphal said.
「他現在看起來簡直跟新的一樣。」教頭說。
May tried to play through the illness, but looking back admitted being sick
impacted his performance.
雖然他很努力，但生病難免造成了影響。
"My wind wasn't there and I'm just starting to get over my cough after about
three weeks," May said. "It probably set me back but I didn't want to put too
much into it. I was out there playing so I should have been producing."

May played well in the Kings' last three exhibition games. He averaged 9.7
points and 7.3 rebounds and made 51.9 percent of his field goals, and
resembled the player the Kings saw early in camp.

"I think Sean's playing well," Westphal said. "I think there's certain
matchups that are tough for him just like anybody. He's a smart player and
he's been doing a good job on the boards and running the offense."
「我想阿梅打得不錯，雖然在對抗某些陣容上，他會有些問題，但我們其他的球員也不見
得頂得住。他是個聰明的球員，而且在進攻防守上都能有所貢獻。」教頭說。
But May still isn't stuck on starting if it means he's finishing games.
May並不在意是否先發的問題。
"One thing (Westphal) said early on is his starters don't necessarily play
the most minutes," May said. "For me it's always when you're in the game, if
you're in the game when the game's on the line. That means a lot and that
means a lot to me. What matters to me is having an opportunity to play."
「先發未必能夠笑到最後，對我來說更重要的是每回上場時將自已的工作做好。能夠打球
就是一件幸福的事。」阿梅說。

Evans rests – Rookie guard Tyreke Evans watched the end of practice from the
sideline with ice on his left knee.
伊凡斯在練習的最後階段坐在場邊冰他的左膝。
Evans suffered a bone bruise to his left knee early in training camp, but
Westphal said Evans isn't injured.
在訓練營中，伊凡斯的左膝有受傷，但教頭說伊凡斯現在沒事。
"He could use a little rest so we gave him a rest," Westphal said. "He did
all the stuff he needed to do."
「他做完了他的部分，所以我們就讓他休息。不要大驚小怪的啦。」教頭說。
Guard Kevin Martin, who missed the final two exhibition games to rest a
sprained left ankle, practiced without limitations.
因左腳踝扭傷而休息兩場的KM也開始練習。
Sticking around – As expected, the Kings exercised the contract options on
Hawes, Thompson and forward Donté Greene. The move extends the contracts of
each player through the 2010-11 season.
