Youthful mistakes doom Kings in loss to Bulls

There will be nights the young Kings will play like young Kings. They will
look unsure of what to do on the floor and make mistakes.

    年輕就是嫩。小伙子們總是不知道要幹嘛，然後就送你一個失誤。

Tuesday night at Arco Arena was one of those nights.

    放心吧！這只是其中一次而已。

Learning when to force the issue and when to back off is something that comes
with experience, and the Kings saw what happens when a team hasn't mastered
that in a 101-87 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

    學習去面對問題及由逆境中反彈都是需要經驗的，看來我們的經驗不足，才會敗給
公牛。

The Kings had 21 turnovers that led to 28 points for the Bulls.

    21次失誤讓公牛賺了28分。

"I think we just have to be a little more alert, a little more fundamentally
sound," said Kings coach Paul Westphal. "A little more sometimes aggressive,
sometimes patient."

    「我想這是個警訊，我們還是要加強基本功。一些積極之外，也要有一些耐心。」教
頭說。

Westphal said he isn't sure the Kings would have won even if they had cut
their turnovers in half. But this is the kind of game that can be a teaching
tool for a team full of inexperienced players.

Whenever the Kings looked unsure of themselves in an offensive set, the Bulls
seemed to force a turnover.

"Sometimes the play calls for us to throw it someplace, but if it's not there
it's like it freezes us," Westphal said. "OK, if it's not there you don't
have to throw it there anymore. Do something else and do it aggressive. It's
like we go, 'Oh, we've got to throw it,' and the defense tees off on us. …
 It takes time."

    「我們的戰術需要球員到定位，但人沒跑到的話，我們的攻勢就停住了。人沒跑到沒

Guard Beno Udrih said the energy of playing at home sometimes causes the
Kings to do too much.

    Beno說在家裡打球有時讓國王做得太多。

"We overdribble sometimes and get in trouble and then try to look for a pass
out and they get a steal," Udrih said. "So those kind of mistakes are hurting
us because they lead to easy layups on the other side. When we learn and get
better at that we're going to be right there."

The loss ended the Kings' four-game winning streak just as the team prepares
for a three-game trip that starts Friday in Dallas and follows with games in
Houston and Memphis, Tenn.

One King who can go on the road feeling good about himself is second-year
forward Donté Greene.

    只有一個人今天可以開心入眠，那就是Donte Greene。

It was his fifth career start, and Greene made a case to stay in the
rotation. He started in place of Andres Nocioni (right hip pointer) and
turned in a career-high 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting.

    這是他生涯第五場先發，他也交出了優秀的成績。取代傷兵Noci的他交出了生涯新高
的24分。

Greene took too many three-pointers for Westphal's liking, making 2 of 8, but
Westphal was pleased with the overall performance from Greene.

The coaching staff wants to see Greene use his athleticism to attack the rim
and create easier shots rather than settle for threes. And the coaches also
want to see Greene display defensive intensity. He did both against the Bulls.

到他秀出防守。這兩點他都有做到。

"It's OK for him to shoot (threes) but it's not OK for him to shoot rushed,
early threes," Westphal said. "And I thought he adjusted that in the second
half and played even better. And he played very well in the first half as
well. It was a very nice performance from him."

    「投三分可以接受，但有部份的三分是搶投，這就不大好。我想他在下半場有所改進
，並且表現得更好（印象中下半場兩顆？）。他在上半場打得不錯。今晚的他真的很優秀
。」教頭說。

Greene's career game came against former King John Salmons, who was traded to
Chicago with Brad Miller in February in the deal that brought Nocioni to the
Kings.

"(Salmons) told me, 'Good game,' " Greene said. "He definitely told me to
keep working hard and I'm quite sure it's nothing new to him. I was doing it
all last year in practice. I just never got the opportunity."

習時我就是這樣子。我只是沒有得到過機會。」Greene說。

Salmons led the Bulls with 23 points, breaking out of a season-long shooting
slump by making 9 of 18 shots.

    Salmons 有23分，結束他這季的投籃低潮。

Luol Deng added 16 points for Chicago (6-4). Center Joakim Noah had 15 points
and 14 rebounds while Miller had 11 points off the bench.

    Deng有16分。第九順位有15分14板，而第十順位拿到7分4板（酸！），米勒老師也拿
到11分4板。

Tyreke Evans had 20 points, becoming the first Kings rookie to score 20
points in five consecutive games since Lionel Simmons during the 1990-91
season.

    Evans 得了20分，成為自90-91 球季Lionel Simmons後第一個連五場二十分的國王新
秀。

早已敗下陣來。終於，巴蒂爾還是覷得了一個空隙，一式「進攻犯規」讓洛克曼跌了一跤
，還順勢一掌擊退了卡斯比。

    正當巴蒂爾舉掌欲下殺手之時，一個聲音自他耳邊響起：「哼！鐵鎖橫江名聲響遍大
江南北，原來只是欺侮小輩之流。」巴蒂爾轉頭一看，一個熟悉的面孔出現在他眼前。他
不由得大驚說道：「九爺！您不是已經金盆洗手了嗎？」來者正是謠傳引退的國王右護法
，江湖人皆尊稱為九爺的肯尼．湯瑪斯。

    九爺冷笑一聲，道：「沒想到過了這麼多年，火箭門倒還有人記得我老九。」巴蒂爾
道：「三爺前些年也曾回來過我火箭門，他當時還說希望能找您和五爺聚聚，只可惜老尋
不著您的身影。」九爺嘆了一口氣，道：「罷了罷了，往日時光，還談那些做什麼。」語
畢，口氣轉硬道：「火箭門倒是爭氣了啊！欺負小伙子這檔子事也做得出來。」巴蒂爾道
：「不過各為其主，我稱您一聲九爺，您可別當自已真是什麼人物。」九爺道：「好，那
就換我來試試你的功夫！」
