    半個球季以來，國王的禁區防守總是空虛無比。對手靠近籃框的命中率是聯盟第四爛
，對手在五呎以內的投籃，是隨心所欲的六成三七。即使先發的變動看來也沒什麼幫助，
老鷹隊這場的籃框區命中率高達七成五，而且他們還有一堆的二次進攻機會，防守籃板真
是傷心。

    看來沒有任何一位名單上的球員能改正這個問題。

    我們需要更好的防守和籃板，這已經是爛掉的話題了，可是這也是一直存在的問題。
Armstrong 在他上場的十分鐘裡，告訴我們他不會是解答。阿屁打了十二分鐘，拿下全隊
第二的籃板，這場球他做得不錯。可是他先發的時候是在搞屁喔！JT在進攻上面回魂，可
是防守上出了不少包，前場真讓人頭痛。

    KM和TE今晚合體成功，KM的防守有變好，但事實上守Joe Johnson 的人還是TE。這兩
位的表現是四十七分、十助攻、四抄截、兩失誤，這看來已經夠讓我們贏得比賽。但是他
們沒得到什麼幫助。

How effective can Kevin Martin be without the ball? That's the question
vexing Kings management now that Sacramento has gone 1-8 when its $10 million
shooting guard plays and 15-17 when he doesn't. When Martin was sidelined
with a wrist injury, the Kings became Tyreke Evans' team, and they performed
more effectively when the Rookie of the Year favorite was controlling the
ball and Martin was replaced by a better defender. Sacramento has a
hard-nosed young core, including rookie swingman Omar Casspi and second-year
forward Jason Thompson, who blend well with Evans' skill set. Maybe veteran
coach Paul Westphal -- who has already worked wonders his first year on the
job -- can figure out a way to get maximum value out of both Martin and
Evans. But otherwise, Sacramento's leading scorer the past three seasons
probably has to go.

    KM沒有球的情況下會多有效率？國王在這位球員缺席的情況下是15勝17敗，而他在陣
時則是 1勝 8敗。看來由一個較好的防守者取代KM是件更有效率的事。國王有組不錯的年
輕核心，JT、Casspi、TE。如果Westphal不能讓KM和TE合體成功，那麼KM可能會走。

Changing of the guard in Sacramento?

The two months that Sacramento Kings guard Kevin Martin(notes) spent on the
bench recovering from surgery on his left wrist afforded him a good
opportunity to see Tyreke Evans develop into one of the NBA’s top rookies.
Along the way, Evans just may have also supplanted Martin as the face of the
franchise.

    這兩個月以來KM都在養傷，而Tyreke則成了 NBA裡上升的新星。

Martin is now ready to return, and even he acknowledges the question everyone
around the Kings wants answered: Can Evans and K-Mart not only co-exist, but
also make each other better?

    而現在KM要回歸，可是大家都在問，到底能不能合體？

Martin thinks so.

    KM也在想這個問題。

“We both have different games,” Martin said. “Mine is moving without the
ball and his is dribbling and making things happen. We have the potential to
be a great backcourt if we figure it out. I tell people if we can’t figure
it out, we’ll still going to be pretty good together.

    「我們的打法很不一樣，我有大量的無持球跑動，而他則在運球中尋找機會，我們可

“We are not two big ego players. I came from being a 15th man my rookie year
to today. I respect his game – where work and not getting too bigheaded can

The Kings began the season with Martin starting at shooting guard and Evans
at point guard. Evans often deferred to Martin before taking advantage of
Martin’s absence to grow into the leading Rookie of the Year candidate. What
was forgotten was that Martin averaged 30.6 points through the first five
games before he was injured.

    在季初KM和TE是我們的後場先發，而TE在KM的缺賽期中，打出了年度新秀的氣勢。不
過也讓許多人忘了KM的場均三十分。

The Kings hope Martin’s perimeter shooting will open the lane for Evans. And
to make the playoffs, Martin said, the Kings need “two great
offensive-ability players.”

    國王希望KM的投射能為TE打開禁區的大門。對於季後賽來說，我們需要這兩把利刃。

“I love that kid,” Martin said of Evans. “I was pushing for him when he
got drafted. I liked him then and love him now. I haven’t played beside a
player like that who can carry an offense since Ron [Artest]. We are both
versatile players when it comes to offense. I don’t think it’s going to be
a problem.”

    「我超愛這小子的。自從Artest走後，我就沒有和得分好手並肩作戰過了。我們都在

Evans’ emergence has only increased speculation that the Kings could look to
trade Martin if the two guards have trouble playing together. Martin,
however, has spoken with Kings general manager Geoff Petrie and, for now at
least, he doesn’t believe he’s going anywhere.

    TE的成長也讓KM的交易傳言頻仍，因為到底搭不搭沒人知道。KM和Petrie聊過了，而
他也相信他還沒有要去其他地方。

“You hear them,” Martin said of the trade whispers. “But you just listen
to the smart people when it comes to that. And that’s Geoff Petrie. I know
that they’re just rumors and I’ll keep it at that.”

    「你會聽到一堆聰明人在那邊嘴砲，但Petrie會把這事處理好的。乳摸不過就是一摸
再摸十八摸而已，成真了再說。」
