When Spencer Hawes limped off the court at Conseco Fieldhouse, he knew his
knee was hurting. But he didn't think he had played for the last time this
season.


當屁孩一拐一拐的走出球場時  他知道他的腳出事了

Hawes will miss the Kings' final six regular-season games after an MRI
revealed a deep bone bruise in the back of his left knee and an irregular
signal in the joint line.

屁孩將會錯過最後六場比賽

因為經過檢查後發現它的背部和左腳踝有嚴重的傷

在關節處也有不正常的現象




Hawes will visit Dr. Lawrence Holland today in Seattle for a second opinion.
Holland has operated on Hawes' left knee in the past. The center had
arthroscopic surgery before his rookie season in 2007 and a microfracture
procedure when he was 14.


他將去西雅圖給他的醫生做第二次的診斷 這個醫生曾經為阿屁動過左膝蓋手術

阿屁曾經在他新人球季前以及他14歲前給這個醫生動過骨折手術



Hawes was injured in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's 102-95 loss at Indiana
when a Pacer kneed the back of his knee. Hawes had missed Sunday's game in
Cleveland because of a lower back strain.

That's the thing," Hawes said. "Right when I get the back feeling good, (the
knee) came up. It's too frustrating to put into words."

Hawes said he didn't hear a "pop" as players with ligament injuries describe
hearing. He was able to run up and down the court a couple of times before
leaving the game.

Hawes said he is visiting Holland to see if the injury is related to his 2007
surgery or the hit against the Pacers.

It's been tough," Hawes said. "It's been trying. But kind of how it relates
to the knee, it's not what happens initially, it's how you come back."

That's the kind of maturity the Kings want from Hawes. And in Westphal's
eyes, Hawes returned to play some of his best basketball of the season.

Hawes averaged 10 points and 6.1 rebounds, both below last season's marks,
but Westphal would contend not all of his growth as a player can be measured
by statistics.

"I think he's primarily improved defensively," Westphal said. "I think he's
trying to make the adjustments we asked him to make. I think he started to
get what we wanted him to do."

Hawes began doing a better job with his defensive assignments, defending the
pick-and-roll and being more physical in the paint.

Once he knows the treatment plan for his knee, Hawes plans to spend a lot of
time in the weight room. Westphal added that with Hawes being only 21, he
will fill out more physically.

"I want to try to be a force on both ends where I might not have been in the
past," Hawes said.

Now, Jason Thompson becomes the Kings' starting center. It will be up to the
6-foot-11 Thompson to play a lot of minutes because there isn't a lot of
height behind him.

The Kings could use 6-7 Jon Brockman or 6-9 Sean May, when he's healthy, to
spell Thompson. But the bulk of the minutes will be Thompson's. Hawes is the
only player taller than 7 feet on the roster.

"It's more time for other players and more opportunities for other players,"
Westphal said. "It's the way this game is. We'll do our best to adjust."
