今天，美國男籃的迷你訓練營正式開營，訓練之後，Cousins也第一次跟記者們公開
討論了國王隊的未來。
"I do want to be a King," Cousins said. "I do."
Cousins想在沙加緬度打球，毫不猶豫地說：「我想成為一名國王，我真的想。」
在談到原因的時候，Cousins說：「我忠誠於我的城市。」
自從國王隊更換老闆之後，Cousins已經和球隊管理層有過多次碰面。
"I'm super excited where this franchise is headed," Cousins said.
"I'm glad to be a part of it."
「我對於球隊的前進方式非常興奮，」Cousins說道，
「我很高興能成為其中的一部分。」
在之前的採訪中，國王隊新老闆將Cousins稱之為「球隊未來的建隊基石」。
"It's something I already knew, but I'm glad it's being said," Cousins said.
"So I'm going to take my opportunity and I'm going to do my (darn) best to
lead this team to this win."
「這是我早就知道的事情，但他這樣說我還是非常開心，」Cousins說道，
「所以，我會抓住自己的機會，我將傾盡全力帶領球隊贏球。」
目前，Cousins符合今夏提前續約的條件，他的經紀人Dan Fegan將與國王隊商討一份
基於勞資協議的頂級合約，大概
80M/5yr。
Cousins said contract talks were not on his mind.
"I'm not really focused on that," Cousins said. "I'm just focused on USA."
Cousins表示，合約談判不在自己的考慮範圍之內。
「我真的沒把注意力放在這件事情上，」Cousins說道，
「我目前只專注於美國男籃。」
