ESPN : Knicks' Crawford may be out for season


NEW YORK -- Monday, Jamal Crawford hit a late 3-pointer to give the New York
Knicks a win over the Miami Heat.

Tuesday, the team learned he will likely require season-ending surgery on a
stress fracture in his right ankle, though the team said it's possible he
could return if the Knicks make the playoffs.

"It's very disappointing, honestly," Crawford told reporters on Tuesday. "You
never expect anything like this to happen. I guess it's just part of life."


Crawford told reporters that surgery is "not definite, but a strong
possibility." He also said he was told there were "no other options" to
repair the fracture. He said he had been feeling pain in his ankle for a few
weeks and had X-rays after Monday's game and an MRI and CT scan on Tuesday.

Crawford is scoring 17.9 points per game this season, making him the
second-highest scorer on the Knicks. New York is 26-32 and was two games out
of the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs entering
Tuersday's game at Boston.

Francis可能被買斷

       紐約每日新聞報導說Steve Francis是因為右膝慢性疼痛而從交易截止日起開

始缺陣比賽的，在被問到是否會因為膝蓋傷病而早早退役的時候，Francis說"不，絕

不願意"。交易截止日前尼克曾試圖和熱火達成一個包括Francis和合同即將到期的

James Posey的交易但是沒有成功，因此買斷可能是一種可行方案。去年12月雙方曾經

討論過買斷事宜但是沒有達成協議。Francis說自己不像兩個月前那樣想要離開球隊。

Isiah Thomas表示Nate Robinson和Mardy Collins將代替有傷的Francis擔任替補："我

將堅持使用Mardy和Nate，我們和他們一起努力，他們瞭解我們的體系，我自信他們能

夠處理好我們給他們的任務。隨這比賽進行，我想，最好的辦法是看看這組年輕人能否

前進並且從他們的錯誤中學習。
