July 11, 2007 -- LAS VEGAS - When the Sonics meet the Knicks in the regular
season, rookie sensation Kevin Durant won't be looking forward to seeing
Renaldo Balkman again.

當超音速在常規球季遇到尼克隊時，榜眼Durant肯定不想再被Balkman守到。

In the Knicks' summer-league opener Monday night, Balkman made mince meat of
Durant, who shot 4 of 19 from the field and looked like one of the undrafted
free agents who populate summer-league rosters.

尼克隊在夏季聯盟的星期一晚上，Balkman打爆了Durant，19投4中的成績讓Durant看起
來像是一名未經選秀的夏季聯盟球員。

Who needs defender deluxe Ron Artest, anyway?

無論無何，還要找豪華的防守者Artest嗎？

"I'm known for playing defense," Balkman said before the Knicks faced the
Chinese National Team last night. "I'm a defensive stopper. They put me on him.
I played hard-nosed defense. I'm a defender. What can I say? New York Knicks'
[reputation] is playing defense, and that's what I did."

「老子以擅長防守而聞名的。」Balkman在昨晚尼克跟大陸隊比賽開打前說。「我是一台
防守用的發動器。他們讓我上場，要我展現我頑強的防守，我是一名防守者。我可以表
示嗎？紐約尼克隊的防守就是老子我在幹的。」

Oh, yes, Balkman was well aware of the guy he shut down, admitting he got up
for the challenge. Durant was the No. 2 pick overall and has been billed as the
league's next franchise player along with Portland's Greg Oden, who canceled
the rest of his summer-league plans to have his tonsils removed.

顯然沒錯，Balkman對他的對手而言是個很有嚇阻力的傢伙，你必須承認他變得更有一番
作為。榜眼Durant和波特蘭的狀元Oden手牽手一起離開了夏季聯盟。其中Oden是要去做

Durant had just one rebound and zero assists.

Last night, Balkman faced another lottery selection in Milwaukee's Yi Jianlian,
who was playing for his national team.

昨天晚上，Balkman的對手是密爾瓦基公鹿隊的新秀易建聯，不過易替是大陸隊出征。

Versus China, Balkman scored 10 points with five steals and seven rebounds in
the Knicks' 88-65 win. Demetris Nichols, playing with a stomach virus, came off
the bench to score 14 points.

對上大陸隊，Balkman用5抄截10分帶領尼克以88比65贏得了這場比賽。新秀Nichols忍受
著胃病(吃壞肚子？XD)的痛苦，從板凳席跳出來得了14分。

"As far as publicity, yeah, everyone's trying to go at [Durant] because he's
[one of] the top picks] in the draft," Balkman said. "At the same time, he's
going to be a great player, but we came out on top."

「就宣傳而言呀，每個人都會將焦點放在Durant那，因為他是名頂級的新秀。」Balkman
說。「同時，他將會是個了不起的球員，但我們尼克隊也會成功。」

Balkman's physical defense is why coach Isiah Thomas is reluctant to include
him in any Artest trade offers. Garden fans love Balkman, with his hustling
style and flowing dreadlocks.

Balkman的肉身防守是老湯為何不願意把他放在阿泰的交易提案裡的原因。麥迪遜花園的
球迷很愛Balkman的硬派(熱血)風格與飄逸的馬尾辮。

In fact, Balkman could be a young Artest on the defensive end, though he's got
a long way to go offensively. On Monday, Balkman finished with 10 points, seven
rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes against Seattle.

雖然Balkman在進攻能力上還有很長的路要走，但實際上，Balkman可能是後場上年輕的
Artest。在禮拜一的晚上，Balkman對戰超音速的25分鐘內，得到10分7籃板與2火鍋。
