David Lee said he knows why his minutes and numbers are down this season,
and their names are Zach Randolph and Eddy Curry.

Lee was one of the Knicks' few success stories last season, averaging double
digits in scoring and rebounding before his season was ended by a right-leg
injury after 58 games. But this year has been a much different story for the
third-year forward.

 上季受傷前的58場比賽，繳出雙十的成績。但這個賽季，情勢不同了。

Lee is averaging just 9.5 points and 7.9 rebounds off the bench, and he
played just 31 minutes in the Knicks' recent two-game win streak. He was
noticeably absent in the second half of a 113-109 victory over the Jazz on
Monday, playing 10 minutes - three in the fourth quarter.

 本季場均9.5分&7.9籃板。近兩場只出賽31分鐘。對爵士的比賽中，下半場都在溫板凳，
出賽十分鐘。

“We've got two big guys in front of me who are playing real good ball right
now," Lee said yesterday. “Zach is playing tremendous, and Eddy is a guy who
is a centerpiece for us. So it's something I'll have to accept. I'm going to
have my opportunities. It's not something I'm too worried about."

Curry, robbed at gunpoint at his home in Chicago this summer, didn't make
himself available yesterday to discuss the in-home shooting death of NFL star
Sean Taylor.

But forward Quentin Richardson, who had two brothers shot to death in
separate incidents in his hometown of Chicago, said Taylor's unsolved murder
is a wake-up call for professional athletes.

“It just shows once again that we're regular people like everyone else and
anything can happen to us," Richardson said. “We're a target [as pro
athletes] because people assume we walk around with a lot of money."

President/coach Isiah Thomas said he has been shocked by how quickly Kevin
Garnett has settled in with the Celtics after more than a decade with the
Timberwolves.

“Now that I see Garnett in a Celtics uniform, I can't imagine him being
anyplace else," Thomas said. “He seems to be a Celtic, more so than a
Timberwolf. Once he put on the Celtic green, he just looks like he fits and
belongs. It's a perfect fit."

  看來他很適應那裡，那身綠色的袍子看起來很適合他。
