Chris Duhon, who grew up in the New Orleans suburb of Slidell and was named Mr. Basketball for the state of Louisiana as a high school senior, wanted to put on a good show for his friends and family. But who knew he was going to play a nearly flawless game and guide the Knicks to their first four-game winning streak in almost four years? Duhon poured in 22 points, dished out nine assists and played a key role late in the game to help New York pull away for a 113-96 victory over the Hornets in New Orleans on Friday night. The Knicks have now won four in a row for first time since January 2006 and five of six in December. “We’ve been playing well lately and we just had to keep it going,” said Duhon, who did not commit any turnovers. “I was feeling good, shots were going in and I wasn’t afraid to take them.” Duhon’s recent improved play is a major reason why the Knicks (8-15) have turned their season around after starting off 1-9 and his confidence in crunch-time against the Hornets was a major reason why they were able to knock off their fourth team with a winning record in less than two weeks. After the Knicks fell behind by one with 4:56 left to play, Duhon drained back-to-back 3-pointers to spark a remarkable 18-0 run to close out the game. He hit a trio of threes during the scoring surge and assisted on a pair of 3-pointers from Al Harrington and one from Danilo Gallinari. Duhon finished shooting 6-for-8 from beyond the arc. “I just think he keeps playing a little bit better and with a little more confidence,” Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni said of his starting point guard. “He’s just due and he kind of erupted tonight.” Harrington led five Knicks in double figures with a game-high 28 points and Wilson Chandler scored 20 before fouling out with over five minutes remaining. David Lee and Danilo Gallinari each had double-doubles, with Lee adding 17 points and 14 rebounds and Gallinari chipping in 12 points and 11 boards. The Knicks, who fell behind 11-0 to begin the night and trailed by nine at the half, shot 55.1 percent from the field, 52 percent from three-point range and 93.3 percent from the free throw line. They also dished out 26 total assists in what turned out being one of their most solid offensive performances of the season. “Just everybody hit shots, big shots, one after another. We were moving the ball really well,” D’Antoni said. “We’re just playing really well right now. Hopefully we’ll just keep our heads down and keep moving forward.” For the third straight game D’Antoni played just eight players. But for the first game since Nov. 24, Eddy Curry was in the rotation. Curry, who had missed the previous eight games with a sore knee, recorded two points and a rebound in seven minutes off the bench. His numbers weren’t off the chart, but he was just happy to be part of something special right now for the Knicks, who are certainly back in the early playoff hunt. “I feel good just to be a part of it,” Curry said. “Not to have to watch it from TV or in the locker room it feels great. The four-game winning streak is very exciting and this is the best I’ve felt in a long time.” http://www.nba.com/knicks/gamerecaps/nyknohrecap091211.html 這場是冷笑話連續第三場只用八人上陣 柯瑞自11月24日以後第一次上場,感覺良好 目前尼克12月的戰績六戰五勝,這次的四連勝也是自06年1月來的第一次 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 87.211.192.128
