Here's the latest on Amar'e Stoudemire from Al Iannazzone. Nobody was around
to play with him today!
Amare Stoudemire was at the Knicks practice facility, getting in a workout
before the team flew to Cleveland.
A team spokesman said Stoudemire didnt scrimmage because there weren't enough
bodies in the gym. Stoudemire will go through shootaround and unless there is
a setback he could return tomorrow against the Cavaliers. Hes officially
day-to-day.
I've chosen to read the word "bodies" by its usual, non-athletic meaning and
am confused as to how a bunch of corpses would have helped Amar'e scrimmage.
- Amar'e certainly looks ready for action.
- Baron Davis got to rest his sore hamstring and distressed tummy and is
expected to start again on Friday.
- Jared Jeffries is "questionable" for tomorrow's game.
- I haven't seen anything anywhere to suggest that Iman Shumpert and Landry
Fields have experienced any lasting symptoms from their respective ankle
turns during last night's game, which is good.
