Jason Kidd admits he’s spoken recently with Tyson Chandler, his former
teammate with the Mavericks, but the conversation “hasn’t been too much
about basketball.’’

Kidd近日在接受採訪時承認他和前小牛隊友、現尼克中鋒錢德勒最近有過交流，
不過他表示雙方沒有談太多籃球話題。

“Being a teammate of Tyson’s and understanding what he brings to the table
every night, it can only help,’’ Kidd said Monday at the Big Daddy Oheka
Castle Celebrity Golf Tournament in Huntington, L.I. “He’s a great guy, I
love Tyson, he was one of my favorite teammates. He had a heckuva year. We
missed him in Dallas.’’

“和錢德勒當隊友後你會了解到他每晚為比賽帶來的東西，他的作用對了球隊除

you win. That helps,’’ Kidd said.
When Kidd is asked about Lin he says “I think when you have a point guard

playing extremely well before he got hurt and they were playing well so we’
ll see what happens. Eventually, yeah, Lin will have the tools. He still has
to learn the game but I think eventually he’ll be a starter in this league.’

“It’s a possibility, I wouldn’t rule that out, to come back here to New
York to finish my career out,’’ Kidd said of the possibility of him
finishing his Hall of Fame career with the Knicks or the Nets. “I want to
win a championship so we’ll see what happens.’’

Asked if the Knicks are on his list, Kidd said “I haven’t really talked to

shown a little interest from what I understand. On paper it looks good. They
got some talented players, you got to have the right pieces to win a
championship, I’ve seen it up close by winning in Dallas, you see it with
Miami finally winning. We’ll see. They got a lot of pieces, though.’’

The Nets could also be in the hunt for Kidd, as long as they are successful
in re-signing Deron Williams, the top player in this year’s free agent pool.
Williams has reportedly narrowed his choices to staying with the Nets or
signing with his hometown Mavericks.

籃網和小牛也都在追求德隆，目前德隆把自己的意向名單縮小到了這兩支球隊身
上。有意思的是，基德和德隆的經紀人是同一人。基德表示，他要等德隆先做決
定，然後他才考慮選擇什麼球隊。

“He’ll make a decision hopefully soon and then all the dominoes will fall
into place after that,’’ said Kidd, who added he developed a friendship
with Williams when they played together on the Olympic Team. “I’ll spend
some time with him playing some golf this week and we’ll see what happens. He
’s a franchise player, he’s a guy who can carry a team, he can fill up the
stat sheet and he knows how to win.’’

My role is to close the game, to be able to play with him at the same time on
the same floor it gives us an advantage. I wouldn’t mind that. If I had to
play in the same backcourt with him he can carry me.’’
