Steve Novak agrees to deal with Knicks

Free-agent forward Steve Novak agreed on a four-year, $15 million contract
with the Knicks, agent Mark Bartelstein said.

"That was a critical part of the process," Bartelstein said in a telephone
interview.
"Without that, Steve wouldn't have been able to stay in New York."

“He's thrilled on many levels,'' Bartelstein said.
He had a great relationship with the fans.

Regarding the contract: Almost $4 million a year for Novak might be a little
much, but with the Knicks already headed into luxury tax territory in the
near future, the money hardly matters.

NOVAK近400萬是有點小貴 我也不期望他能生出哪些持球進攻的能耐
不過 如果他的跑位能在變更好 這近400萬會是很有價值的
希望他可以學學雷槍的跑位 那麼他會是很可怕的!!!!!

There are reports that Marcus Camby has agreed to go to NY in S&T. Was just
told "He has not made a decision." "Nothing imminent."

The Houston Rockets are rumored to be close to a sign-and-trade with free
agent center Marcus Camby, who would head to the New York Knicks in a move
that would land a number of players in Houston.
The Rockets are denying the predominant rumor, which would have Toney
Douglas, Josh Harrellson, Dan Gadzuric and Jerome Jordan heading to Houston.
Still, it's widely believed that the Rockets will work a S&T with the Knicks,
who can't afford to sign Camby outright, as opposed to the Miami HEAT, who
have also been after Houston to help them get Camby through a similar kind of
trade.
