Amar’e Stoudemire is seeking a second opinion to determine the severity of
the left knee injury that could keep the Knicks power forward sidelined for
the first month of the NBA regular season.
Stoudemire is consulting with Phoenix Suns orthopedic surgeon Dr. Thomas
Carter, according to a Suns source. Carter performed microfracture surgery
on Stoudemire's left knee in 2005, when he played for Phoenix. It is
customary, and in some cases encouraged by teams, that players get a second
opinion from an independent physician.
阿罵在MRI檢查結果出來後，尼克隊醫判定要2個禮拜的休息時間，但是他們不是很確定
所以阿罵在去諮詢了其他醫生，而這次他回鍋太陽尋求醫龍團隊的意見，太陽隊醫
Thomas Carter醫生檢查認為可能需要一個月的休養時間
(這人2005年是阿罵膝蓋的主治醫生，而且之前看過他的傳記似乎是美國的膝蓋權威)
(另外他曾經說過他不會主動幫其他隊看病，不過他一直都有跟阿罵保持聯繫，
這次尼克隊醫應該有授權讓阿罵去問)
The Knicks’ team doctors discovered that Stoudemire had suffered a ruptured
cyst on his left knee during last week’s exhibition game against the Toronto
Raptors. The timetable given by the Knicks for Stoudemire’s return was two
to four weeks, but the same source says a more plausible timetable is four to
five weeks.
這裡就是在說阿罵可能需要4~5周來恢復而不是2~3周

Chandler told reporters on Friday that he "absolutely” plans to play after
an MRI of his injured left knee showed only a bone bruise. Chandler
originally feared that he suffered ligament damage after bumping knees with
the Nets Gerald Wallace in Wednesday's preseason finale on Long Island.

Knicks waive Chris Smith
The Knicks announced on Friday evening that Chris Smith , the younger brother
of JR Smith , was waived by the team. The point guard had not played in any
preseason games because he had surgery Oct. 11 to repair his left patella
tendon. The Knicks' roster now stands at 19 players.
The deadline to cut training camp invites is Oct. 29, and it's likely those
players will include Mychel Thompson , John Shurna , Henry Sims and Oscar
Bellfield . As for the final two guaranteed roster spots, it appears that
Chris Copeland and Rasheed Wallace will lock those up. You can follow Jared

尼克的前場越來越虛弱，老坎比拉傷當初說10天現在已經20天了，阿罵左膝問題開始尋求
太陽神醫的幫助，而老錢說他絕對會上開幕戰，但尼克內部人員不願證明這點。
Woodson could turn to Chris Copeland for support, but the Knicks still need
to decide whether to add him to the 15-man roster by Monday.
或許武僧會考慮用用靠譜蘭，而尼克目前還沒決定15人名單。
Woodson wants to see whether Wallace can keep up with his teammates during
the scrimmages the Knicks will have before Thursday’s game. He will also
look at how effective Wallace is in defending the post.
“I think he’s excited about being back on the floor,” Woodson said of
Wallace, who declined to talk to the news media after practice. “I’m going
to try to put him in the best position possible to help our ball club. We’re
not forcing the action. He still has to show he can help us.”

ankle injury, returned to practice Friday. “He said he was fine,” Mike

... Chris Smith, the younger brother of J. R. Smith, was released, cutting
the Knicks’ roster to 19 players. Smith had surgery on the patellar tendon
in his left knee Oct. 11.

He certainly would prefer if Amar’e Stoudemire were around — but Stoudemire
was absent, rehabilitating a left knee injury that the New York Daily News
reported could keep him out longer than the team’s prognosis of two to three
weeks. The team had no update and declined to comment on that report.

“I know where I am in terms of the injuries and the guys that are in uniform,
” Woodson said. “The guys that are in uniform, if this is what we have
until guys get back, they’ve got to step up and play. I’m not expecting
them to do anything different. You can’t go hide. It’s time to start our
season and we’ve got a few more days to get ready for our opener in Brooklyn.

just a weird, awkward feeling. The whole night before, not sleeping in terms
of the MRI and then the best thing I could have heard was everything was
intact and looking strong.”
