Woodson, commander of the league’s only unbeaten team at 4-0, gave the
Knicks Sunday off. “I think they deserve that,’’ Woodson said.


武僧在取得開季4-0的成績後，禮拜天他放大家一個假。

武僧:"這是他們應得的"


So does Woodson. He has managed the egos of its big-name veterans, managed
Carmelo Anthony to a tee. He has managed an overstuffed rotation that will
only get more logjammed when Amar’e Stoudemire and Iman Shumpert return in
December and January, respectively.


這就是武僧，他得要管理很多資歷很深的老將，還有那麻煩的胖瓜，更不用說未來阿罵

跟香波歸隊後，他將會面臨控管上場時間的大問題。


Woodson has managed a league-best defense and guided what has been the NBA’s
smartest offense — which takes care of the ball and leads the NBA in fewest
turnovers at 11.3 per game.


武僧目前帶出全聯盟最棒的防守跟最聰明的進攻，他們的失誤是全聯盟最低的11.3。


The Knicks’ low turnover rate is no coincidence. On his show, Woodson talked
about a contest he has employed with the players to stay under 13 a game. For
every turnover over 13, the players have to run a base-line-to-baseline
sprint. (He deducts a turnover for every charge taken.)
If the club finishes under 13, the coaches have to run one sprint for every
turnover under 13, even hefty Lasalle Thompson. The coaches have done a lot
of running — three of the four games the total has been less than 13.


尼克這低失誤可不是偶然喔，在武僧自己的節目中，他談到他跟球員們說:"如果

你們可以把TO保持在13次以下，那我們教練就全場衝刺一次(少幾次就衝刺幾次)，
                                  (指從底線跑到球場另一頭再跑回來)
如果你們TO超過13次了，呵呵那就換你們跑囉>.^"。

這方案實施後，尼克打了4場比賽，有3場低於13次，教練團已經跑了很多趟全場衝刺囉。

Woodson’s turnover contest is working — as is everything else, including
his request every player “voluntarily’’ report to Tarrytown three weeks
early for pickup games.


武僧這個TO協議非常有用，就跟他所做的每一件事一樣有用，例如他之前要求球員們

自願提早3個禮拜開始訓練營。


“It’s been rewarding to know that what we’ve been doing is the right way,’
’ Steve Novak told The Post. “It feels good to know getting together three
weeks early as a team has paid off. We know it’s early and [we had] a lot of
work to do. We had looked on at a difficult schedule early on and that helped
focus us that we had to be ready when it started.’’


腰帶王對提前訓練營表示:"這對我們是否在做對的事是很有幫助的，提早三個禮拜聚在

一起的感覺很棒，我們都知道我們還有很多工作要做，我們有個困難的行程表，這可以

幫助我們提早準備好迎戰新賽季。"


Woodson is the polar opposite of wishy-washy. There’s hope he will do what’
s best for the team when Stoudemire returns — without playing politics. His
Saturday ego edict that he “doesn’t owe anybody minutes’’ could be a
foreshadowing.


武僧面臨外界希望他在阿罵歸隊後能控管好隊伍，所以她跟球員們立下了一條法條，

就是"關於上場時間的問題"(就是上一篇說的)。


“It’s a different feel,’’ Novak admitted. “We got along well last year,
but our chemistry is better. Everyone is really, really on the same page this
year as a coaching staff and player, top to bottom. Guys really know their
roles. There aren’t any questions about what am I out here to do, what am I
supposed to do. What do you need for me? Because of the way last year started
(after the lockout), it was harder to know what was expected right from the
start. Here’s two weeks. Go play. This year more defined.’’


腰帶王再次發表感想:"這一季跟上一季是不同的感覺，我們上一季還算團結，但是這

一季我們的化學效應更好了，今年每個人都站在一起，團結在一起，不管是教練，還是

球員，每個人都知道自己的角色，這裡沒有那種我該做甚麼，我該怎麼去做這種問題，

或是你真的需要我嗎?? 上一季是因為封館，所以很難去知道甚麼才是對的開始，現在

已經兩個禮拜了，就這樣繼續打下去吧，今年還有很多需要去證明。"

Mike, we actually had a pretty good relationship especially behind closed
doors and practice. We actually talked a lot, talked basketball. What he’s
able to bring to the Lakers organization, hopefully he brings positive
energy. Whenever a team’s losing there’s negativity and negative energy.
Sometimes a change is better.’’


瓜談冷笑話接任湖人總教練:"儘管今年我跟她之間有許多傳聞跟噪音，但是，我跟冷總

真的是很好的關係，尤其是在訓練的時候，我們談論很多關於籃球的事，那就是他可以

帶給湖人的，希望他能帶去正面積極的能量，無論那隻隊伍是否處於連敗或是負面的

氣氛，有時候，一個轉變將會是更好的。"
          (應該是說湖人換教練會是個不錯的轉機)


Mike Woodson on D'Antoni landing in LA: "Very excited for him. I really am. I
think he’s a guy that’s meant to be a coach."
Mike Woodson on Mike D'Antoni: “He’s great at pick-and-rolls. Some of the
things Mike did I’m still doing."
I learned a lot from Mike in the short time we were together. I have the
utmost respect for him and I wish him nothing but the best. I think he'll do
extremely well there."


武僧談冷哥前往LA:"我對這消息超興奮的拉，我真的真的認為他就是那種總教練的料。"

"他在P&R的造詣上真的超猛的拉，所以他之前在做得戰術，我也有保留下來繼續做!!"

"雖然跟他相處只有一小段時間，但是我學到超多的阿，我超尊敬他的，我認為他會做得

很棒的!!"


"I don't even know who we play this week; you're talking about (December).
That's too far ahead for me to be planning already," Anthony joked.
"To be honest with you, he doesn't really have to bring too much to that
team, with two bigs (Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol), Kobe and Steve Nash. Steve
Nash is used to that open offense, spread offense. Kobe played for D'Antoni a
couple of times with the USA team and Dwight actually was on one of the
teams. So, that offense will be quite familiar to them."

Road wins are tough to get."


尼克本周將開始多場客場之旅，武僧說:"這就是我們的賽程，你知道的，我們已經打了

四場不錯的比賽，而現在我們將要來看看這幾場客場能不能繼續保持下去，客場勝利

總是比較難得到的。"


"We've only been on the road -- what? -- one game?" Woodson said. "I'm a big
believer that you've got to do everything right on the road to win. We have
been playing pretty good basketball; I like everything about the way we're
playing. But the road's a different beast. Guys have to be committed and
ready to go once you get out on the road."
The road, Carmelo Anthony said, "is always a challenge."

The road "isn't going to be easier than playing in the Garden, that's for
sure," Steve Novak said.
"But I don't think that'll be strange," Anthony said. "I think everybody's
already over the fact that Dwight is out of Orlando. We're not thinking about
that. We're going down to play against the Magic and the guys they have now."
