GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- After nearly being swept by the Heat in last season's
playoff series,Tyson Chandler vowed to come back a better scoring threat.
After Thursday's practice, Chandler reflected on his offensive mindset back
in early May.

歷經了上季在季後賽幾乎被熱火橫掃完敗後,拳王誓言會已升級的進攻威脅狀態回歸

"Absolutely," he said, "because I felt like we've got to have more if I want
to get my team over the hump, if I want to accomplish the things that I said
I wanted to accomplish the day I signed here. I've got to be the best player
I can be. I took that personally, I took it seriously after we got knocked
out like that. I'm on a mission this season."

No doubt about that. Through 25 games, with the Knicks hoisting an Eastern
Conference-best 19-6 record, Chandler is averaging career-highs in points
(13.0) and field goal percentage (70.3), which is, as of right now, the
second-best mark in NBA history behindWilt Chamberlain's 72.7 percent in
1972-73 with the Lakers.

Chandler credits his offensive development from playing in the Olympics --
"In practice, I was allowed to score," he said, smiling -- and being in the
best shape of his career. Woodson noticed both factors have paid off for his
starting center.

pick-and-roll basketball, man, you're asking a big guy to do a lot, and he's
doing it."

Chandler has also been leaping high to tap balls off misses back to his
teammates on the perimeter. They've really come in handy extending
possessions for the Knicks down the stretch in close games.

"That play, back in the day, wasn't around," Woodson said. "I mean, you just
had to go rebound the ball. Guys didn't think about doing that. The way
they're calling over the back and things of that nature, Tyson is using it to
his advantage and we're benefiting from it."

Jason Kidd suggested that Chandler could've been an All-Star previously.

MELO IMPROVES BALL MOVEMENT: While Kidd and Raymond Felton have been getting
most of the recognition for the team's improved efficiency and ball rotation,
Carmelo Anthony's presence is underrated. The attention he gets, especially
with double teams, frees up things for the Knicks.

當老基跟肥頓因為球隊效率的進步跟球的輪轉上受到最多的肯定時,瓜瓜所做的卻

"We know he gets a lot of attention and he got double-teamed a lot last
night," Kidd said, "and for him to give the ball up, it just makes us that
much better, and guys being able to finish plays. And then for him, he gets
the ball back to knock down a 3 when he gets double-teamed. It's just the
trust. You can see that he trusts his teammates and he's playing as good as
anyone right now."

RUN, COACH, RUN: At the start of the season, the team decided if the players
kept their turnovers at 12 or fewer in a game, the coaches would have to run
during the next practice. Well, as you can guess, there's been a lot of laps
accumulated because the Knicks are averaging a league-best 10.7 turnovers per
game.

在球季開始的時候,球隊決定如果球員們可以把失誤數控制在12或更少,那麼教練們
則需要在下次練習的時候跑步. 沒錯,你可猜到的是,因為尼克本季達到聯盟最佳失誤數

"They live for that," Woodson said smiling. "It's like they sit over there,

boy. That 16, 17 run was tough on me" (laughs).

quotes on printouts before games at the Garden. Against the Rockets, it was,
"WIN: We don't predict the future; we create it." Against the Nets, it was a
quote from Plato saying, "We are twice armed if we fight with faith."

順道一提,武僧在花園比賽前一直都是發表精神演講的一員.在與火箭比賽前,"拿到
勝利吧,我們不能預測未來,但是我們可以創造它."而在與籃網的比賽上,則是老PP的講話:

拳: 沒錯,我的確是太靠近它了

     上看,發現大概有85隻大象圍繞著我,我大叫”太近了,太近了,快跑”

主:哈哈哈,撤退,撤退,看看另外一張,很漂亮的獅子阿,我也曾去過類似的地方, 坦桑尼亞
   有個叫JESSI的小孩跟我說,你要去叢林探險嗎?我跟他說我要先在帳棚睡點,好準備NBC
   的節目..後來他跑了進來說,Jimmy Jimmy 你錯過太多了絕對不會相信我看到什麼,獅子
   生產耶..還從相機裡轉照片給我看,我嚇醒後跟他說,在哪裡,我們也去看..結果他跟我
   說,我騙你的,這我從明信片照的..哈哈,這真是最棒的玩笑了,下次你拍照的時候也可以
   耍這招騙你朋友

拳王:也許我下次照片展覽的時候會用,看,我是很好的攝影師….

主:通常我們請人來的時候,都會給他們一些小小的挑戰,這次,如果你不介意的話,我想請
   你跟我比場隨機物品投籃大賽,可以嗎?

拳王:好阿
