The injured Knicks won't the only beneficiaries of the team's upcoming trip
across the Atlantic.
It will also help the coaches. The Knicks' staff will have plenty of time in
between games/practices to dissect the Knicks' inconsistent play of late.

The difference between the Knicks of the past three weeks and the team that
started the season 18-5 is stark.
And it starts on the defensive end.

Woodson said before Sunday's victory over the Hornets that he hoped the
Knicks could put together a 48-minute effort.
That didn't happen.
The Knicks gave up 29 points in the first quarter, 20 in the first nine
minutes.

To their credit, they clamped down thereafter, holding the Hornets to 58
points on 38 percent shooting over the final three quarters.

武僧在禮拜天開打前說過:"希望尼克可以保持48分鐘的拚勁"，但他們沒有做到，尼克在

第一節被拿了29分，但為了他們說過的承諾，他們之後守死了黃蜂，黃蜂後三節只拿58分

命中率只有38%。


But from Woodson on down, no one was particularly impressed with their
effort.

JR Smith was the lone dissenting voice in the Knicks' locker room, not
thrilled with how they beat the Hornets yesterday to break a three-game
losing streak.
He didn't see it as a sign they had turned it around.

"We're starting to see progression but at the same time, no disrespect to
(the Hornets), but we're playing against a team that's not going to be in the
playoffs and we expect to play better than that," Smith said. "We want to be
a championship caliber team, we're talking about being a championship caliber
team, (so) these games shouldn't even be close."

Woodson said defense will be a point of emphasis in his next two practices.

"I just think we need the reps to get back to (the way they played earlier in
the season)," Woodson said. "I sit there and I watch rotations being missed,
block outs -- shots go up and we're not putting bodies on guys. We've got to
get back to playing defense."

They've got to get to London first. That alone should be a step in the right
direction.

級別的隊伍吧?我們現在在談論的是一個冠軍隊伍吧，所以這些比賽不能打得這麼抖。"

武僧說他接下來兩個訓練，防守將是一大重點。

武僧:"我只是覺得我們真的需要找回季初的打法，我坐在這邊，然後看著我們的輪轉正在

消失，還有火鍋也沒了，放任對方輕鬆進攻，我們沒有好好的運用身體接觸阿，我們必須

回來打好防守。"

不過他們得要先動身前往倫敦了。


Woodson was asked about sliding Stoudemire into the starting five and left
the door open, as he always does.

“We just gradually play him and see how things go and tonight he’ll come
off the bench,’’ Woodson said.

今天阿罵替補上場打C!!武僧也被問這個問題。

武僧:"我們只是慢慢的讓他上場，然後看看會發生甚麼事，今晚她還是從板凳出發阿。"


Stoudemire had a fluid 12-point outing and said he’s glad to lead the second
unit.

* Woodson sounded almost certain Iman Shumpert will return Thursday in London
if he doesn’t have a setback in practices.

“I’m sure he’s going to be a little sore, the fact that he hasn’t played
in some time,’’ Woodson said. “Just to get him through health-wise and
just see where he is. He’ll definitely be restricted when he first steps out
on the floor. But just to have him back in uniform will be nice.’’

阿罵表示打替補也蠻爽的。

另外武僧的說詞聽起來香波很有可能會在禮拜四對活塞上場喔，只要他的傷勢不要復發

武僧:"我很確定香波會感到一些疼痛感，但事實上他還不能上場，就是等他完全健康，

再看看他狀況如何，他如果上場的話絕對會被限制上場時間，但香波歸隊可是好事呢。"

Smith fouled Roberts with .5 seconds left in the half, hacking him on a heave
from just past midcourt. Smith knew coach Mike Woodson would be ticked.

“In my opinion, it wasn’t a foul,’’ Smith said. “It is what it is. When
the ref blew the whistle, the coach gave me one of those ‘what-the-hell-are
you doing’ looks. I think that was the worst part.

“For some reason, I have tendencies of fouling the jump shooter or getting
bad fouls. I always recognized that look. There aren’t too many times he
doesn’t look at me with that look.”

JR表示他認為它第一節那最後0.5秒不是犯規，不過他知道武僧會罵他。

JR:"由我來說的話，那不是犯規，只是當裁判吹了，教練用瞪我表示:(你他X的搞甚麼鬼)

He may be 28, but Chris Copeland is undoubtedly an NBA rookie. There are
several clues. The ever-present pink backpack is a bit of a giveaway. So too
is his participation in any “optional” practices.

雖然CC28歲了，但是他毫無疑問的是NBA的菜鳥，這裡有幾個線索，他那顯目的粉紅小包包

，也是他的必修課程之一呢。


“Nothing is optional for me. Rookies don’t have options,” Copeland said,
laughing, when asked about maybe catching a break when the Knicks go to
London this week.

Right off, Copeland started. Next, he contributed — in a big, big way. He was
the second-leading scorer behind Carmelo Anthony, delivering 22 points — 11
of them in the first quarter when the Knicks averted disaster as New Orleans
dropped 29 points on their noggins. Copeland threw in seven more points in
the fourth quarter, five of them in the first 2:18 of the session when the
Knicks pulled away.

“I don’t think it’s easy to step into a starting job and act like you’ve
been there. He shot the ball with confidence,” teammate Steve Novak said.

“He was great. I gave him an opportunity to start again and he stepped up
and made plays offensively, rebounded a few,” coach Mike Woodson said. “He

“He knows how to score,” Anthony said. “That’s one thing he knows.”

“It’s challenging, but my teammates help me through every step of the
process. Honestly, I don’t say it just to say it. It’s for real. The vets
behind the scenes from Rasheed [Wallace] to Kurt [Thomas] to Marcus [Camby],
my three wise men,” said Copeland, who shot 9-of-15, including 4-of-8 on
3-pointers. “Those are my guys. They really help me stay focused as well as
the whole team.”

Copeland repaid the confidence the team has shown in him almost immediately
yesterday. Anthony (27 points) began terribly with a 1-of-10 shooting start.
And the early defense again had Woodson chugging antacids. The Knicks needed
something. Copeland responded, hitting shots, helping spread the floor.

“It’s cool. Anytime we’re moving the ball and everybody is involved in the
offense, we play better,” Copeland said. “At the end of the day I try to
fill that role whenever I’m called upon.”

談到昨天那場，CC表示:"超酷的阿，我們無時無刻都在轉移球，大家在進攻中都有發揮，

我們打得很好，在結束後，我試著保持這個狀態，以便我再次被叫上場。"


Whether he’ll be called upon to start anytime soon is unclear as Woodson has
juggled his lineup based on matchups and player availability.

“It’s for sure a challenge but whatever Coach asks me to do, I’m here for.
I don’t question anything. I’m just glad he gave me an opportunity today
and it worked out.”

CC說:"這絕對是個挑戰拉，但不管教練要你做甚麼，我都會準備好上場，我不會對此有所
