Mike Woodson has tasted success before. He won in high school, earned an NIT
title at Indiana and was an assistant on Larry Brown's staff when the Detroit
Pistons won the NBA title in 2004.

"At the end of the day, our clocks are ticking," Woodson said. "I'm 55. Some
of these older guys, they don't have a lot of time left, man. So the urgency
of winning is right now."
Woodson, who rarely talks about his personal goals, preferring to talk about
the team, gave reporters a rare glimpse of just how badly he wants this team
to win it all.
"That's all I coach for, man," Woodson said about winning a title. "If it
could happen here in the city of New York with all these wonderful fans that
we've had all these years, it would be the most wonderful thing for me."

武僧:"時間一點一滴地在流逝，我55歲了，跟那些老傢伙一樣，他們已經沒有太多的時間

"We're going to talk today as a team," Woodson said. "It's not about
individuals. It's a team. It takes 16 games to win a title. Those 16 games
are going to be the hardest games you can imagine. You have to commit from
the start. You [have to] . . . commit to what you want to do."
武僧:"我們今天談論的是一支球隊，而不是一個人，這是一支球隊，一支可以取得16場勝利

Woodson has been to the playoffs three times as a coach with Atlanta and once
with the Knicks but never has gotten past the second round. Last season, the
Knicks lost to the Heat in five games in the first round. This team, he
believes, could be something special.
Said Woodson: "We put ourselves in this position, so we've got to like the
position we're in . . . It starts now. We're like 15 other teams trying to
sniff this championship. I think we've got as good a chance as anybody in
this league to get it done."

Prigioni sprained his right ankle toward the end of the first quarter in
Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Atlanta Hawks.
"He shot a little bit today but I think he's doubtful tomorrow. I just don't
see him playing," the coach said.
Prigioni stayed late at the practice facility on Friday getting treatment on
his ankle. He said the swelling has gone down. In a positive sign, Prigioni
wasn't wearing any protective brace. But didn't seem confident about playing
on Saturday. Instead, Prigioni targeted Tuesday's Game 2 as a possible return
date.
"I think Tuesday I'll be back," he told ESPNNewYork.com.

If Copeland gets the start, he will likely have to play through pain. His
right shoulder "popped out" at one point in Wednesday's game against Atlanta.
He said Friday that the injury would not affect him on the floor, but he did
not want to discuss it publicly.
"I'll be cool by game time, I'll leave it at that," Copeland said.
"I was just riding on the West Side Highway, looking at the water, and (I was
thinking) it's amazing coming from where I've been and where I was last
year," Copeland said. "I've said it a million times, 'God is good and he put
me in a great position,' and I thank the Knicks' organization for giving me
an opportunity."

AMAR'E NOT BACK "ANY TIME SOON": Amar'e Stoudemire participated in some
half-court drills and shot around during practice on Friday.
According to Mike Woodson, though, you shouldn't read too much into
Stoudemire's activities. Woodson said Stoudemire's return "is a matter of
time. It's not any time soon, but I think eventually he'll be back."

On Thursday, Stoudemire stopped short of ruling himself out of the
Knicks-Celtics series but did not put a specific timetable on his return.
"I'm doing everything I can to get back out there and be extremely strong and
healthy so, hopefully, I'll be out there soon," Stoudemire said.
