"I thought they played harder than we did tonight. That was the difference,"
said Knicks coach Mike Woodson.

"They did all the little things. We didn't start playing until we actually
got down and it was desperation. We have to play like that from the start.''
“
They just flat-out played harder than we did today,” Anthony said. “That
was the key in their victory. They outplayed us; they outworked us.”
Carmelo Anthony said: "They outplayed us. they outworked us. Nothing else
needs to be said about it.''

Jason Kidd said it was a game to learn from: "We learned a lot about
ourselves in that week and a half with the Celtics series. We learned a
little bit about ourselves this afternoon. At this level you have to be ready
and we just weren't.''

尼克經歷了周五的艱辛戰鬥才解決掉老賽，但他們在周日卻被溜馬整場壓著打。

最終在主場輸掉了第二輪的開門戰。

武僧:"我想今晚溜馬打得比我們拚多了，這就是我們之間的差距。"

"溜馬他們做好了每一個細節，而我們剛開始卻沒準備好，我們直到真的輸了這場才意識

過來，這很令人失望，我們必須打得更拚一點。"

瓜:"溜馬今晚打得比我們有鬥志多了，這就是他們為何可以贏下這場的關鍵。他們值得

老基:"我想我們這個周末學到了很多東西，不管是這場還是跟老賽的比賽，我們得要知道

做好準備，達到可以跟人競爭的水準，但我們就是還沒準備好...。"


“Melo has to wrestle and tussle with David West,” Martin said. “I don’t
think he should have to do that from the beginning of the game. We got size
over there we can use to our advantage.”
Anthony tried to play down the issue, noting that the Knicks won twice and
lost twice against the Pacers this season while playing with this lineup.

“I don’t want to panic and overanalyze that situation,” he said. But he
acknowledged that his foul trouble “put a little dent in the game plan.”
“I was never going to take Melo out of the game,” Woodson said. “He fouls
out, he fouls out.”

“Individual matchups are going to be the difference in this series. I
thought Hibbert, he played better tonight. I’ve got to get Tyson playing
better than Hibbert,” Mike Woodson said after the Knicks were outrebounded
44-30, including 11-6 on the offensive glass. “And we can’t let West have a
big night the way he did tonight. It is a team, but these are matchups we
have to do better at.”

He played well at the end of the Celtics series, but not Sunday, and he
agreed with Woodson.
"I got to get involved in the game somehow,'' Chandler said. "I got to try
and get some looks, get myself involved.''

老錢同意武僧的批評:"我得要對比賽更有影響力才行，我得要試著參與球隊，打出一些表現


"He's strong and he was the defensive player of the year last year," Hibbert
said. "I just tried to make sure I boxed him out, so he doesn't get any
tap-outs or rebounds. Seriously, it's a grind down there. He's probably one
of the best at tap-outs and going for offensive boards."

Chandler summed up his matchup with Hibbert by saying, "He attacks the glass.
They run a lot of sets for him to duck in and to get to his hook shot. I need
to do a better job of keeping him out of his sweet spot."

HIBBERT跟老錢的對決

HIBBERT:"老錢很強壯，他還曾經是最佳防守球員，我得要確保自己讓他被卡在外面，讓他

Woodson had Kenyon Martin and Chandler on the floor together at times to
combat Indiana’s size, and Martin suggested after the game that doing that
more often — perhaps even to start Game 2 — would free up Anthony from
having to match up against the 6-9 West. Amar’e Stoudemire, sidelined since
March following knee surgery, also might provide the Knicks another big body
as early as Game 3.
“From a defensive standpoint, we weren’t bad, but we have to put some sets
in (Monday in practice) that will help the two of them when they’re out on
the floor playing together,” Woodson said. “We haven’t played a lot of
minutes with our two bigs like that this season, so we have to figure that
out.”

his shooting slump. "It's just one of those things you go through, and
hopefully it comes back soon."

JR自從禁賽後，就開始不斷的打鐵。

Smith said it wasn't so much the Pacers' defense that gave him problems as
his own wrong mind-set for the first three quarters.
"Really, I did it to myself," he said. "I was playing through a mental game,
trying to get the basket, relying on my jumper too much. When I miss shots, I
just need to keep pushing the ball instead of walking it up. I'm a big piece
of the puzzle. I need to keep pushing and pushing and pushing. And don't beat
myself up mentally."

JR說這並不是對方防守所害的，而且他自己前三節的心態有些問題。"

JR:"說實話，這是我的問題，當我上場時，我試著投進球，但我太依賴我的跳投了，當我

投不進時，我更需要積極一點，而不是直接回場，我可是關鍵拼圖阿，我需要更積極，積極

Said Kenyon Martin: "If we can get those guys to make a few shots, then it
probably would have been a better outcome."

K罵:"如果我們能讓那些傢伙在多投幾球，或許能有好結果。"

另外JR在賽後也澄清說:"我賽前可沒去夜店，所以你不能拿這個當我打鐵的理由。"


"It doesn't affect my confidence at all, because if I miss 20 in a row, I'm
still going to shoot 21 or 22. I'm not worried about it. I just have to go
out there and begin to attack the basket.''

某胖的懺悔:"雖然我一直打鐵，但這沒有影響到我的信心，不管我打了多少鐵?20鐵?

我仍舊會去出手第21或22次，我並不擔心這件事，我得要走出低潮，然後開始攻擊籃框。"


Anthony said he does not want to talk much about his shoulder anymore,
adding: "I'm going to deal with it and get through it at this point.''
He did say the brace he wore on it helped more than hindered his shot. "I was
surprised that some of the hits I was taking weren't affecting me like it has
in the past,'' he said. "So what I'm wearing actually helps it, keeps it in
place, keeps it from moving. I'll be fine. I've been hit harder than that.''

瓜不想多談他的肩傷，但他也說防護套對他的肩膀很有幫助。
