武僧談球員:

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- On Wednesday, Mike Woodson confirmed that new Knick
Andrea Bargnani is still battling a health condition and might not play for
the Italian national team this summer.

"He has pneumonia, so we've got to be cautious of that and make sure that we
nurse him back before we put him back out on the basketball floor," Woodson
said. "We're still trying to make sure he's healthy before he gets back out
on the floor, and right now he's not ready to play."

Bargnani was slated to suit up for FIBA Eurobasket, the main basketball
tournament for national teams in Europe that takes place biennially. This
year, it's being held in Slovenia from Sept. 4-22.

CHANDLER "READY TO GO": While Bargnani returns to form, Woodson said Tyson
Chandler, who suffered a neck ailment toward the end of last season and lost
10 pounds due to the flu, is "back normal ready to go."

"He's put a lot of work in this summer, as all the players," Woodson said.
"We've got to make sure that they do that. I thought that was a major key
coming into last season. Guys came back to camp in great shape and really got
us off to a great start, so I'm expecting the same thing this season."

THE BENO BOOST: Woodson talked about how key the acquisition of Beno Udrih
was to the team's future success.

"It's major," the coach said. "I mean, we needed a third point guard and Beno
has got playoff experience, he's won a couple of titles under [Gregg
Popovich]. I like him because he's not afraid to make plays. He can run a
basketball team, and if he's got to make a big shot, he's capable of doing
that. So he'll be a great addition to our ball club, and with Raymond
[Felton] and Pablo [Prigioni] at the other two point guard spots, camp should
be pretty competitive."

武僧說:"立群將是關鍵人物，我的意思是我們需要第三控衛，而立群有季後賽經驗，他曾經

拿過兩次NBA冠軍，我喜歡他，因為他不怕創造機會，他能掌控好一支球隊，而且他有能力

武僧談東區

"The East is gonna be a bear this season, but you still have to play the
games," he said. "I don't buy into and read into a lot of the things that are
being said, because you still have to play. I do know that the East will be
more talented this season than it's ever been, and we just got to worry about
the Knicks."

武僧說:"東區這賽季將會像熊一樣兇猛，但我們仍要上場打球，我不事先預測或解讀這些事

on Wednesday at the Knicks' practice facility, one thing was clear about next
season: Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton would start.

But the other two spots are up for grabs.

武僧說:"可以確定的是小胖子，瓜，老錢是先發。其他不知道"


"We've got to find two other bodies that fit that starting lineup, and who
that's going to be, at this point. I don't know," said Woodson, who
interacted with a group of children during the Garden of Dreams Foundation's
fifth annual Dream Week, offering advice and giving them a behind-the-scenes
tour of the practice center.

Woodson didn't even make any guarantees about starting Iman Shumpert, who was
in the first five last season at the 3 position.

"We don't know; we've got to see," the coach said. "You've got to go in and
earn a spot; that's how I look at it."
"Iman has improved tremendously as a player," Woodson said. "He still has a
long way to go being such a young player, but his jump shot has definitely
improved from the time he stepped foot in this league. I've got to think
that's going to continue to get better."

武僧說:"我不知道，讓我們看下去吧，你得要融入然後創造機會，香波已經越來越像是個

球員了，他仍跟其他年輕球員一樣，還有很長的路要走，但可以確定的是，他的跳投已經

改善到可以在聯盟站穩腳步了，我認為他還能變得更好。"


Woodson's openness in terms of the startling lineup could mean three things:
one, he might be thinking about starting Felton and Pablo Prigioni together,
which resulted in a 13-game winning streak in March; two, Metta World Peace
could start at small forward; or three, Andrea Bargnani could become the main
power forward, moving Anthony back to the 3. Woodson doesn't see a strict
role for Melo.

"See, you guys look at 4 and 3 and 2," Woodson said. "I don't look at it like
that. Melo's a player, man. I can play Melo at 2, and he'll be just fine.
Then what would you guys be saying? No really, I don't know where I'm going
to play him yet. I mean, I'm going to play him; I do know that."

打2號，他也能適應的很好，但你們會說甚麼?我目前還不確定會怎麼用瓜，我的意思是

我準備好要讓他上場了。"
