NBA Rumors: Phil Jackson Says Knicks Open To Trading Anybody


Are there any New York Knicks players considered untouchable? Not according
to Phil Jackson.

尼克隊上有什麼球員是被認為不可交易的嗎？禪師說沒有。

The team president said he is willing to trade anybody on the roster right
now, or at least entertain offers for them.

禪師說他現在願意交易任何人，或者至少說禪師願意聽取其他球隊的報價。

“I don’t think it’s any secret that everybody that we have on our roster
is up for discussion, if we have other teams call us up,” Jackson said. “I
mean, we have players that are free agents in Amar’e (Stoudemire), Andrea
(Bargnani), Carmelo (Anthony), Tyson (Chandler), guys that are in situations
that are not to be discussed. But the roster that we have beyond that is open
for discussion. And if people call up, want to talk about it, we’ll discuss
it with them.”

「如果其他球隊給我電話，想交易我們陣容中的球員，我不會拒絕跟他們進行討論，我的
意思是，我們有一些球員即將成為完全自由球員，比如說Stoudemire、Bargnani、Carmelo
、Tyson等等，有些球員可能不會被牽扯到交易中，但其他人都在可以交易的名單內。如果
有人給我電話，願意討論交易的話，我們將進行討論」禪師說。

Of course, some players are more tradeable than others.

當然，有些球員還是比較有可能會先被交易的。

Stoudemire, Bargnani, and Chandler are all entering the final years of their
contracts, and expiring deals in the NBA are as valuable on the trade market
as talented players. The Knicks could elect to hold onto those three players
or trade them away to teams that can benefit from those salaries coming off
their books for the summer of 2015.

Stoudemire、Bargnani和Tyson都將進入他們合約的最後一年，優質球員的到期約在NBA
交易市場上是有價值的，尼克可以選擇要留住他們三位球員或是交易他們，如果選擇交易
他們的話，尼克可以在2015年的夏天釋出不少的薪資空間。

Chandler, interestingly enough, has been the subject of trade rumors this
spring. In May, he was mentioned as a potential target for the Dallas
Mavericks. Chandler has stated he does not want to be a part of a rebuilding
team in New York, which could be the case if Anthony doesn’t re-sign with
the team.

Tyson今年春天被捲入交易的傳言中，今年五月的時候，還傳出小牛對他很有興趣的消息。
Tyson已申明他不想替進入重建期的尼克隊效力，換句話說，如果Melo決定不與尼克續約
的話，他也不想留在尼克了。

Conversely, Jackson said he is also willing to hear trade offers to bring
talent to New York.

相反地，禪師說他願意聽取報價。

While some teams are awaiting the summer of 2015 to sign prized free agents,
Jackson said salary cap space for then is not a concern; he’s willing to
bring in the valuable players whenever he can.

有些球隊等著去搶2015年自由市場的那些大魚，禪師說等到2015年的時候，尼克的薪資
空間就不是問題了，無論何時他都願意去追求那些有價值的球員。

“It has to be part of a discussion,” Jackson said “But if we get back what
we think we need to fill out the character and the type of player that we
want to have, we’re going to go forward with it anyway. We’re not the only
team that [is] going to be chasing these players [in 2015]. We have to
understand that. We might feel that we have one of the best places in the
world to play, but people are susceptible to their backgrounds and where they
’re from and families, etc. We understand that, chasing free agency, this
team has been through it.”

「這必須是討論過程中的一部分」禪師說，「但如果我們能回去思考我們需要補強哪個
位置或我們想要的是哪個類型的球員，這樣我們才能持續進步。我們必須瞭解，我們並
不是唯一一支想要在2015年追求那些球員的球隊，我們也許會覺得我們是世界上球員最

影響他們的決定，我們瞭解這些是因為我們也追求過自由球員。」

Of course, the one player Jackson could include in a sign-and-trade is
Anthony.

當然，會被禪師放在先簽後換的交易包裹裡的球員可能會是Melo。
