There's no question he'll be there -- center court at STAPLES Center tomorrow
night, ready for tipoff.

Without a doubt in his mind, Kobe says he's ready to go. On top of that, he
remains optimistic about the status of his injury:

"I'll play. I can't imagine it being worse than it was [Sunday] night,"
Bryant said.

Bryant will be going through an active treatment cycle from now until game
time -- electro-stimulation, ice, heat, massage therapy, stretching,
everything but an actual back transplant.

徹底花時間醫治他的背以外的事都會做。

The only question is how effective Kobe will be after tweaking his back in
Sunday's loss to the Jazz.

While that remains a legitimate concern for the Lakers, Kobe's no stranger to
playing through pain.

After spraining his surgically repaired right shoulder for the second time of
the 2003-04 season, Kobe was expected to be out several weeks according to
reports and initial diagnosis.

在2003-04季他再度扭傷曾經動過手術的右肩時，經過初步診斷以及報導後，Kobe被認為可

能要傷停個幾週。

However, he would return just three games later, shoulder wrapped up, to
deliver 18 points and 10 assists in a big road win over the Boston Celtics:

Initially expected to be out a month, Bryant did not fly with the team to
Boston because he wasn't planning to play. He arrived at the FleetCenter less
than 90 minutes before gametime and said he felt strong enough to return
after missing just two games.

一開始預期要缺席一個月，所以原本沒有準備要打的Bryant並沒有隨隊飛去波士頓。但是

他還是在開賽前90分鐘到場，才錯過兩場比賽的他說他覺得他已經可以上場了。

You may also recall Kobe playing the entire 2002 Western Conference Finals
against the Sacramento Kings after a bout with food poisoning after the first
game in Sacramento.

還記得2002年與沙迦緬度國王打的西區冠軍賽嗎？Kobe在第一場比賽後就食物中毒，但還

是打完了整個系列。

About two hours before tipoff, Bryant walked slowly but steadily from the
Lakers' team bus to the locker room at Arco Arena, where he was given a third
liter of intravenous fluids.

當時在檢錄前兩個小時，Bryant仍然穩定的漫步從湖人小巴走向Arco Arena的休息室，在

那裡他甚至還吊了第三次點滴。

Bryant didn't miss a game and helped lead the Lakers to an NBA Finals berth,
defeating Sacramento in seven games.

Bryant在那系列大戰中沒有錯過任何一場，幫助湖人打敗沙迦緬度晉級到NBA總冠軍賽。

And if your memory isn't too fresh, Kobe has been playing this entire season
with a torn ligament in his pinky finger. Instead of getting surgery on the
finger (which would have sidelined him for six weeks), Mamba has opted to
ride the injury out, as he will play through this year and the upcoming 2008
Olympics in Beijing with the ailment.

如果你不記得的話，容許我提醒你Kobe本季在右手小指的韌帶斷裂情況下，仍然全勤，而

不是選擇動手術（這大概會讓他休兵六個禮拜）。Mamba選擇了帶傷上陣，他不但會打完本

季的所有比賽，還會參加即將到來的2008北京奧運。

"Every day," Bryant said. "You get used to it. When it's painful, you know
that it can't get any worse. It's just pain. It will go away after a minute
or so. But it's not going to get any worse."

「每一天。」Bryant說。「你都會越來越習慣它。當它會痛的時候，你知道最糟就是這樣

了，它就只是痛而已，幾分鐘後就沒事了，不會更糟糕的。」

It's that same outlook that will allow Kobe to remain at his team's side for
a pivotal Game 5, as the Lakers try to protect homecourt with their injured
leader.

就是這樣的想法讓Kobe在關鍵的第五戰仍然會上場與隊友一起奮戰，湖人將帶著他們受傷

的主將捍衛主場。
