Espanyol hope to put a final end to speculation over the future of striker
Raul Tamudo by securing him to a long-term contract.
The Spanish international has agreed terms on an improved deal, which will
keep him at the club until 2010.
"Tamudo is a very important player for us," said an Espanyol spokesman, "
and the club wants that he is with us for a long time.
"For that reason all necessary efforts are being made so that he continues
here."
