Real Madrid reject Liverpool's Morientes bid

Liverpool have tabled a ￡3.5 million offer for Real Madrid striker Fernando
Morientes.
The bid has been turned down flat by Real, which insist Morientes will not
leave the Santiago Bernabeu for less than ￡7 million.
Real coach Mariano Garcia Remon has confirmed he is prepared to sell Morientes
in January, but refuses to accept a cut-price offer for the Spanish
international.
