EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Sasha Vujacic trudged from the floor last Thursday
night in Auburn Hills, Mich., with the unkind words of a Detroit Pistons fan
ringing out above the din in the raucous arena.

three points in the Lakers' 105-90 victory against the Nets, however.

Jackson disputed the notion that Vujacic was in the midst of a salary drive.
Vujacic is in the final year of his contract, earning $1,756,951 for 2007-08.

"I don't know if it has anything to do with being a free agent," Jackson
said. "I'll throw that out. I don't think it does."

Medical update: Pau Gasol said his sore back should be sound within a few
weeks. He is not concerned that the injury will linger past the All-Star

"I'm putting my full effort into it," he said of doing his rehab work. "I
think it's going to go away. After this road trip, I'm going to have a few
